The campus has a good atmosphere with a good climate which is adoptable for any person coming from any location. It's located in the middle of City, unlike other colleges which are present very far from cities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Curriculum is an institute designed industry based one which enhances overall development in the students interest. Here we have exams twice a semester. They are Mid Semester and End semester. Mid semester is for 20-30 marks and rest is for end semester.
Placement Experience
Yes, the placements are very good here. CSE ,IT , ECE are having the highest placements records. Almost all the students get placed and above 40 percent students with double jobs. The institute provides internship for four students at CERN, Switzerland every year.
College Events
Aarohan, Recstacy, Aavishkar are the biggest fests here. Aarohan is one of the biggest tech fests in East India. Recstacy is the annual cultural management fest which has performers from various countries like Shirley Setia, Coldplace etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It's moderate, there are some fee waiver options available depending on the annual income of students family. There are some category based allowances too. There are two Banks in the college where you can get an education loan easily.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are numerous number of scholarships available. Both private and government organizations provide them. Here you can avail merit based scholarships and category based scholarships. Also there will be some scholarship tests in between academic year, which are good gateways for getting scholarships.
Campus Life
The college got two big playgrounds namely ovals and Lord's with football, cricket, basketball, tennis, badminton courts. Additionally each hostel is provided with mini grounds for sports. It also has a gymnasium where you can workout.
Hostel Facilities
Most of the hostels are newly built. They are of highly modernized equipment with 24 hours power supply and water supply with a backup. There are elevators too. There are common Hall's for every floor where you have a television and every room is provided with high speed internet connection.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, they are always helpful. The college is known for its rich alumni, who are spread in various sectors in industry and working in various parts of world. Serious are always helpful as they are the guiding people for everything.
Admission
To get admission into NIT Durgapur, one has to qualify 12th board with at least 75% and clear the Joint entrance Examination (JEE) . After qualifying, there will be a JEE counseling which is a gateway to get into IITS and NITS. From there you can opt for NIT Durgapur.
Faculty
The faculty of our college is highly experienced, research oriented . They are highly interactive. Each student is allotted a professor at the time of admission. And the professor acts like a care taker of the student. They we're always ready to help.
