Studying in the nature's lap-UPES

Well, I would like to say that there are many areas in which improvement is required such as improvement in transport and medical facilities is very much required in the vicinities of the college. Despite being situated in a remote location, students will be getting heavenly experience while studying in the nature's lap itself.

The course curriculum is very well structured and planned to precision. Continuous evaluation process is being followed to assess students. The curriculum is divided into semesters where in each semester there will be mid semester and end semester written examinations. Internal assessment also takes place throughout the semester which perfectly manifests continuous evaluation. Mid semester exams are given 20% weightage in the grades, Internals are given 30% weightage while end semesters are given 50% weightage in cumulative grades.

Well, students studying in UPES get ample opportunities in context of placements and job opportunities. More than 92% students got placed in 2017-18. The college also encourages students for entrepreneurship and research projects. Our college also provides internship.

Well as we step our foot for the first time in the campus on the first day of college shortly after that Freshers Party takes place as a gesture of welcoming the first years. Then the next grand event that takes place during a year is UURJA- the annual cultural extravaganza of UPES. Then in the month of February, Ignite- the annual technical festival of our college takes place.

Fee structure is quite expensive. It costs around 4.5 lpa which includes hostel fees. Most of the students study here by availing education loans. The UPES Fee Structure 2019 will be different for each programme and consists of generally the academic and tuition Fees to be paid for the entire programme. Scholarship seats are limited and awarded on a first-come-first-served basis. UPES currently offers scholarships (part and full tuition fee waiver) in specific programs, as decided by the University from time to time. The scholarships are awarded purely on the basis of academic merit cum means, and are at the sole discretion of the Scholarship Committee, whose decision is final and binding.

Several extracurricular activities are being organised in the college premises by various student chapters, clubs throughout the year which ensures overall personality development of a student and also the making of a responsible citizen of nation.

Alumni as well as the seniors in our college are really very nice. They are very friendly, supportive and encouraging. They support us at every step we take and they always stand next to us whenever we face difficulty.
