If you have taken admission in the college, you need to stay in the hostel. The hostel infrastructure is good. Each room contains three students. The bathrooms are shared. Each students is given a chair, a table and an almirah of his own. There is 24/7 supply of electricity and water. The mess food is not upto the mark. The mess food is unhygenic and tasteless
Admission
Admission took place from jee mains exam and score above 95 percentile for general category with open category of non home state. If you have some reservation then you can get admission on low ranks only. I also opted for NIT Jamshedpur and NIT Raipur. I got NIT Raipur in 2nd round but got nit Durgapur in later rounds. But I didn't get NIT Jamshedpur due to rank.
Faculty
All the faculties are very good and highly qualified. The professor to student ratio is about 1 : 8 per year students. The professors are highly knowledgeable and easily approachable over phones and mail and are very helpful. Two exams are held per semester - one mid sem and one end sem. The questions are of medium difficulty but if have attended the lectures properly then the questions are easy.
Other Applied Colleges
National Institute of Technology - [NIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Mechanical Engineering)
I didn't get it in my JOSAA councelling
