Remarks
College is well maintained. But life here is a little boring if you are not having friends and membership in societies.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure of DU is the same throughout all colleges. The syllabus is designed by various professors in meetings. The course is designed in a way to develop students. There is tutorials for every core subject where one can ask their doubts personally. The second-year comes with a Subject called Research Methodology which says that yes it is research-driven. We have Semester based Exams; Tests and assignments in between. Teachers help me to relate the happenings in day to day life with what we study.
Placement Experience
There is a Placement Cell in our college which provides information about various Companies and the internship they provide. The meetings for this cell is held in an active manner.
College Events
Freshers and Farewell are must for every College and so is here. We have a college fest for 2 days named Shruti where all the college societies provide with their work and yes, Of course, it consists of DJ night as well. Apart from this, we have Departmental fests from different departments, paper presentation competition, sports day and other events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I am studying Bachelor of Arts Economics Hons. which has a fee of 21,445 for both first year and second year. The hostel is also there which has its separate fee structure and Fee waiver. The college has 2 hostels of its own which are quite expensive.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is Fee waiver available in the college which has certain criteria if you got through the criteria you will get the waiver in your fees.
Campus Life
When it comes to Campus I think this is the best college of DU. Apart from this since it's Women College No need to tell gender ratio. There are sophisticated labs and we do have Sports facilities here with a gym and swimming pool. Debates are common here and you can develop your skills by participating in them. There is no Robotics Programme here.
Alumni/Alumna
Since our department has not started it's Alumni Meet yet I don't have any idea of Alumnus. But people do go to JNU from here.
Admission
The admissions in DU firstly requires filling up of Admission Form. After Filling the form one is required to select courses and colleges for the same. Sports quota is also there which helps you in taking admission. After filling form one has to wait for the Cut Offs. Cut off varies from caste, subject, and college. After you realize that you have qualified the Cut off you have to come to college for document verification after which they provide you Fee link. And here begins your journey to college.
Faculty
Overall Faculty is very good. Teachers relate the subject with day to day life. They are experienced and are Ph.D. From University like JNU. No place will provide you 100% perfect Faculty so is the case here but overall faculty is good. Some teachers have knowledge but are unable to express but most of them are good.
