- Hindu College has the most advanced learning mechanism as the students here are more serious than what I expected.
- Faculties too are quite serious as they do fun but never at the cost of education.
- One get to learn n number of skills here as nearly 60 odd societies are operational here.
Dislikes
- For outsiders fees is higher than that of students who belong to Delhi and this should change.
Course Curriculum Overview
Political Science is BA's most crowded branch and it is because of a reason. The reason is not so clear though but probably because it has almost all the ingredients that political science students should know. From Geopolitics to country's democratic system, it has it all. I don't know after four years there will be anything left for us to learn and hence it is one of the most sought after courses of DU.
Internships Opportunities
Manh investment banking companies and Indian banks and investment companies are among the ones which provides our branch Students internship. HDFC Asset Management Company, LIC and other which depends on geopolitical tensions give us research opportunity for their firms and also pays us 10-15k for the same.
Placement Experience
Number of students placed are like 50-60%. Our course is crowded and still getting that many students campus placements is not an easy thing but Hindu College still makes possible that maximum number of students gets placements. It's lovely to be a part of Abhyas the cell which looks after all this.
Fees and Financial Aid
Hindu College is North Campus topmost college. Well the debate will always be on and the fees also varies as if you are from Delhi you have to pay 25000 while i am from outside Delhi so my fees is around 28k a year. However, the scholarship for lower caste students remains the same that is nearly half of what general category student pays.
Campus Life
Mecca is annual fest which has no chills because it is indeed and indeed the best of the best. Lovely being a part of this college and experiencing something surreal last year. This year also the fest is scheduled in May and we all are like waiting that it happens soon. The campus is quite big and St, Stephens College Gate is opposite to ours. Basketball court of our college aagin is something which can be noticed from a distance.
Admission
Admission in Hindu College means being in best of best in India. In 12th 90+ is mandatory for general category students and plus out of 800, 775 is also mandatory for getting Hindu College political science admission. Zoology and others one can get at around 740-750 but not political science for sure.
Faculty
Sense of teaching of faculties is just too good. They could sense if it is going above students head and they will immediately correct that by explaining it in the simplest way possible. So, this art is something which has made me their followers. To name one is tough but Preeti Singh is my favourite professor and of many other students too.
Night Life
Rochester and Echoes are among the best cafe as they both are inbetween Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station and our college. The distance between Metro Station and our college is almost 2kms and therefore auto becomes inevitable.
