Likes
- the campus is very beautiful to start with and the infrastructure is good
- there is a 2 story library which we all find very helpful
- the faculty is great and helpful and the college is hence very peaceful
Dislikes
- the societies, many of them are dead and non functional
- the wifi is a big issuse it doesnt work and top of that network connectivity is also very low
- in competitions, because its a girls college ..no boys are allowed soo at times no matter how great our fest is we inevitablely have less audience to catter too
Course Curriculum Overview
the curriculum and teaching methods depend from professor to professor..and if you dont get a method the professor are often kind enough to change it and explain things another way..the exams are moderate level almost always..the curriculum is fine with the discipline courses however through nep ..skill enhancement courses and value added courses have been introduced which at times feel very useless
Internships Opportunities
the placement cell sends us interships from time to time with 10k to 20k stipend however they are generally hr interships ..so it isnt helpful for my course at all..for internships mostly we find it on our own
Placement Experience
campus placement is provided, and as much as i have heard from seniors its great in my course avg package is 6 to 8 lakhs..and around 80 percent of the students get placed each year ..b.com students get the highest package in our college
Fees and Financial Aid
i pay 29000 per year ..in adition around 1-1.5 thousands for my exam fees taken by university every semester..college provides financial assistance to students with good attendence and less than 4lakhs of yearly income
Campus Life
we have our annual fest shruti in april each year, aapart from that each department holds its fest in march to april..apart from that holi celebration is done freshers and diwali fest is also done....our library catters any book we need its great..in technological area however the portals dont work and wifi is bad ..sports is good ncc is good..societies like debsoc and dramatics are really great
Admission
i applied to dtu, du, bhu for eco hons and iim for the integrated bba n mba course. i got confirmed in du and dtu for eco hons ..i choose du because dtu is very good but its an engineering college and focuses on that mainly ..i got rejected from iim in written examination ..the admission process was smooth ..the eligibility for my vategory was 514 plus marks in cuet and most preferred course was bap
Faculty
the faculty is great there is no annoying professor that doesnt give marks thankfully, the faculties do work on rules which students if obey its great experience for all like no usage of phone during lectures however is any emergency theres no restrictions to use phone but one must step out for the time being to avoid any disturbance..there no addition notes provided ..students must take it class only ..the internal exams are taken smoothly and in equal intervals and considering evryone can appear the dates for these exams are decided in class taking everyone in consideration
Night Life
the library and cafeteria closes at around 5:30..hostel in time max is 7-8...there metrostation by walk like 5 mins away from clg and 2 stations away there is hudson lane ..there majnu ka tila from bus like 10 mins away ..cp is also 10 mins away from metro and the college is in civil lines which is a very safe area
