Course Curriculum Overview

4

One of the main reasons I choose Pa History online was the curriculum itself it's wide coverage of ancient to modern history, focus on sources, histography and inter disciplinary papers made the course intellectually appealing. Curriculum prepares students well for real world application such as research, writing, analysis, UPSC level preparation and further academic studies like MA or archaeology. however it can be improved by adding more practical components, field visit, digital history tools and project based learning instead of relying mostly on lectures. The difficulty level is moderate manachable if you follow classes and understand themes . Overall the curriculum is strong but can benefit from more interactive and application base teaching methods.

Internships Opportunities

3

My college offers good internship opportunities through its placement and internship cell with regular openings incorporate firms, NGOs and start ups. One of the most popular options is the Reliance internship which gives student hands on experience in retail operations, customer service, data management and teamwork under professional mentals The selection process is simple useful involving a short test or interview.

Fees and Financial Aid

According to a 2025 fee listing, the total fee for the 3 year BA history Hons. Course is Rs 96300 for the complete course . For 2025- 26 , the yearly tution fee is 32,100. In the previous year ( before fee revision), the fee per year was Rs 31,750 So Yes fees have increased over the years ( from Rs15k- 16k per year to Rs 32k per year now)

Campus Life

4

My campus life has been a positive experience overall. Socially, the environment is friendly and easy to adjust to, with plenty of opportunities to meet new people. The college has active clubs and society that regularly organise events ,debates and cultural activities which help in building confidence and skills.

Admission

I chose Daulat Ram College over the other colleges I applied to because it offered a better combination of academic reputation, faculty quality, and more discipline environment. Compare to Dayal Singh, Daulat Ram felt stronger in terms of department strength, campus safety, crowd quality, and overall atmosphere even though Dayal Singh has the larger campus and more societies. I couldn't make it to one or two higher cut off colleges mainly because my mark was slightly below their closing list . The admission process at Daulat Ram was straightforward registration through the du portal ,selection based on CUET score , document verification, and then fee payment to confirm the seat . Overall, Daulat Ram match my priorities better, especially for history honours.

Faculty

3

The faculty student ratio in Ba history honours is generally good so teachers are able to give attention when needed. The faculty is mostly approachable ,supportive and academically strong, and students who show interest in the subject usually built a great rapport with them. The most like teachers are those who explain concept clearly, provide helpful notes ,in encourage discussions ,while the less like once are usefully those who are either to fast ,to streat or rely on test book reading. The course has two semesters a year with internals and final exams and most student clear them because the papers are moderate in difficult if you attend classes and study regularly.

Night Life

3

The campus offers a faily active social environment with regular interaction spaces. The gym ,cafeteria, library and most public areas are closed by late afternoon or early evening depending on the day so students usually finish the activities before that. Hostel in campus in timings are strict generally requiring students to written by evening for safety. Popular hangout spots inside the college include the lawns ,corridors ,canteen and society rooms while outside places like Kamla Nagar ,ridge area, Hudson Lane and the nearby cafes are common favourites for students. The locality around the North campus is usually safe during the evening because it's always crowded with students, though it's still better to avoid roaming alone very late at night.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
