It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.

Dislikes

The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

nice college

Likes

Diverse campus life with various culture and technical events .
Qualified faculty members who were exports in their field .
well equipped infrastructure and mordorn facilities , opportunities for reserch , project and hands on learning .

Dislikes

heavy work load and challenging demands faced by student .
the attendenance rule of 85% is very bad for a student to put extra time on extra curricular work and personal growth .
some times large class sive may impact personalize attention .

Placement Experience:

The college placement is quite good, this year the highest package of 85 lahks is offered to a student, there are many big companies visiting the campus, and no of jobs offered is quite more than the no of students applied for.

NIT a Nightmare

Likes

Huge campus, good infrastructure and good roads
Lots of greenery and varied wildlife and snakes
Good friends from different states even foreign nationals

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this Because I got this course is equivalent to electronics and communication engineering so I chose this course Faculty-student ratio: 30:1 All PhD holders and tas are doing PhD under the professor It's pretty hectic

Insight to NIT Rourkela

Likes

Beauty of nature inside the lush green campus is delight to watch.
Many food outlets are present which is a favorite spot for students.
The labs are well equipped with all the tequired devices.

Dislikes

Attendace system is very strict and 85% attendance us required to pass.
Sometimes there is water shortage in the hostels which cause much inconvenience.
Recently some restrictions have been imposed about walking around the campus at night after dinner.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester onwards. They can get internships and pre-placement offers from the same company and also there are huge numbers of companies visiting the college for jobs.

The prefinal year is for the internship offered by the college placement cell and the final year is for placement. 100 % of record-breaking placement given to the students by the placement committee for 5 years.

Likes

Campus Life in NIT ROURKELA is the best.
Faculties and infrastructure here are good.
Placements for circuital branches are very good.

Dislikes

Placements for non-circuital branches are not that good. Around 10-12 lpa
Curriculum in nit Rourkela is very strict. It's hard here to score good CGPA.
85% attendance criteria is necessary otherwise grade-back.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are good. For circuital branches, placements stats are very good around 22 lakhs for CSE. 18 Lakhs for ECE and 16 lakhs for EE. The highest package offered was 89 lakhs off-campus. The On-campus highest package was 53 lakhs. 12 students got more than 50 lakhs from on-campus placements and 200 students got more than 20 lakhs lpa.

NIT Rourkela has good placement records with various companies coming for recruitment for various programs.According to the recent analysis 90%of the studeget placed in various companies and 10% of the students go for higher studies or research oriented works

I chose this course due to its focus on sustainable fuel, hydrogen energy, and other areas aligned with my interests. The faculty-student ratio is balanced (around 1:12), ensuring personalized attention. Faculty members are well-qualified, and their teaching methods are engaging and effective.

I like the circuital branch as my interest. I am giving my best here. the facility is very sincere and cooperative with students. The ration of faculty and student is around 1/6.semestee occurs in 2 parts mud and end. The exam strategy is as per institutional norms. we study properly on a daily routine bases to qualify for exams with a good cgpa.

I like mostly the Opportunity that comes to us in campus And Also The Campus life.
The faculty of this institute are very talented and Supportive.
There is a 100 percent ragging free campus ..such supportive seniors are respectful.

Dislikes

Hostel batroom and toilet should develop..and mess food is so off.

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience

NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
