It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.

Dislikes

The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

A good college

Likes

A very beautiful infrastructure and a green campus
Inspiring seniors and anti ragging strict policies
A lot of opportunity in all field and a great exposure

Dislikes

Unfriendly behavior of faculty and administration
There is no nearby airports that make transportation difficult
Mess food is not up to mark, there should be improvement

Placement Experience:

A lot of companies visited every year for placement including Google flipkart myntra tcs and many more. placement percentage is above 90 percentage. The average package will be around 15 lakh but the highest reach up to 50 lakh per annum.

Campus placement is very good in nit Rourkela
Senior are very much supportive they give good guidance
Campus is very beautiful . There are too many trees in nit Rourkela which make campus beautiful

Dislikes

There are only two hostel for girls which are kms and cvr hall of residence
Attendance policy 85 criteria in nit Rourkela which are worst

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are awesome There are too many companies that give pre-placement offers of 48 lakh like Google and Microsoft Goldman Sachs and many more. The total number of companies visited are like 1240 this year give the highest CTC of 58 lakh total 90 percent of students get placed and many more opt for higher studies depending on their interest

Campus life at NITR

Likes

The campus experience and campus life is just amazing.
The placement stats are improving day by day.
The start up culture is also on a rise as we have ftbi in our college.

Dislikes

There is also theft of cycles in our college

Placement Experience:

Being in a good department, there are a lot of opportunities out there. If I get a placement that I desire and am placed in a facing company. If not I will pursue my MBA degree from any of the IIMs out there.

Placement Experience:

The placements are good here. It includes a wide range of companies to give placement here. The overall average of this campus is good. The percentage of students placed is approx 80 percent. My plan is to get placed after the degree.

hostel life and college campus which is very beautiful
plenty of tree and design of garden which make me motivated
transportation availability and near to railway station

Course Curriculum Overview:

In this course, there is the availability of plenty of government jobs and in our rural area there is more respect toward government jobs, so this is the region I choose for this course student ratio is about 90 qualification of faculty is to phd there is very difficult to pass the term exam

Likes

Club activities and fest organized by the student body.
Clean campus with 24/7 supply of water and electricity.
Placements and internship opportunities.

Dislikes

Hostel rooms and mess food(As it not quite good).

Placement Experience:

Being an institute of national importance it has an excellent reputation in the corporate world. Companies from the core and IT sectors offer jobs and internship opportunities to the students selected by them.

The best thing happened in my life.

Likes

The campus undoubtedly is something i will not forget in my life.
My hostel. Vs hall of residence is the best hostel among all hostels there.
Some teachers are really helpful. They will help you everytime.

Dislikes

85 percent attendance is very hectic. This is something I dont like it at all.
The mess food at our hostel. The quality of food is not upto mark.
The restriction for boys and girls for not going outside the hostel after 12am.

The placements in our college are outstanding. The students become eligible after 6th semester to sit in placements. Some get pre-placement offers during their internship. Many companies visit our campus like, Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, Amazon, Oracle, PSUs, and many others. The number of offers was 1240 last year. The highest package for 83.4 lpa and the average was 12.54 lpa. About 95% of students get a place on campus. Rest go for higher study or off-campus placement. My plan after getting my degree is to work in a software company and may be doing a higher study after working for a few years.

Likes

Large campus area with boundary and engaged by security
Full greenery campus, and every weather is extreme there
Almost all students get their placements

Dislikes

Connectivity is a bit issue by all means of transport. But there are connection.

Placement Experience:

There is a very good placement record Its avg is between 8-10 lpa Starting from 3.6 or 5 lpa to 50 - 80 lpa according to different yr depending on the company Placement ratio is 97-98 Some branches have 100% And some have nearly 200%

NIT R in a glance

Likes

Club culture of NIT R is the best with many fests.
There are very helpful seniors who are experienced in different domains. One can always reach out for any doubts.
Great faculty members and highly qualified Professors

Dislikes

Overall attendance system. 85 % compulsory attendance. Applying for sick leave is tough.

Placement Experience:

B. Tech students are offered internships after 2nd year and placements after 3rd year while Integrated msc students have to wait for another year before getting internships. Microsoft, Google, Accenture and many other companies visit the campus. It is advised to select branches carefully because some companies allow particular branches. 95-100% of placements happen every year. According to my degree, I am thinking of joining the IT sector.

Likes

college campus is amazing, It is full of greenery.
Restraunts in the campus are pretty good
People I met are very intelligent and are fully focused towards their goals

Dislikes

From 7 semesters, students are eligible for college placements. There were 325 recruiters who visited the NIT Rourkela campus placements, among these the top recruiters were Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon. Of the 325 recruiters, 100 recruiters were absolutely new recruiters. These recruiters were able to provide 1274 job offers to students. The highest package was from Atlassian this year which was 82 lpa. Almost 90 percent of students were placed this year

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience

NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
