It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.

Dislikes

The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

"My Amazing College Journey"

Likes

The campus area is fairly large and has a good library as well as many departmental buildings.
Our campus has a sizable exposure for extracurricular activities.Personally, I enjoyed that, and that went for sports, clubs, events, party nights, etc.
Due to the variety of people from different regions of the country, I have learned about a variety of people, their environments, and other things.

Dislikes

Because there are so few internship and placement options in our branch, I don't enjoy them here.

Placement Experience:

There is a great likelihood that you will be placed after you get to school, and all you need for a higher placement are essential abilities. Placements often take place in the seventh semester, as you can see from the statistics from the previous years.

Likes

Placements stats overall for the batch is very good.
Campus is lush green and it has very good infra.
It has one of the best club culture, so the extra curricula is sorted.

Dislikes

The campus is very strict and orthodox.
Teaching methodology is outdated here so are the teachers.
course curriculum needs to be updated as soon as possible

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the second semester. Very reputed companies visit the campus and the placement stats are quite good. I am currently planning to pursue an MBA after my bachelor's.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The whole curriculum is very well. Since electrical engineering is interesting I choose it. A total of 125 students are there in this. faculty are highly qualified most of them are passed out from IITs and they are flexible with us. There are 2 sems per year there is mid and end exams for a sem.

The journey across NITR

Likes

Greenary everywhere in the campus and freshness.
Friendly faculty and their always helping nature.
Different fests to help students from stress.

Dislikes

People are selected based on region for higher posts in student society

Course Curriculum Overview:

All my faculty members are very smart and each and every one of them has years of experience. All professors have Ph. D.s and published many articles on research the exams here are every 3 months the sem is 30 marks end sem is 50 and the TA is 20 marks.

NlT Rourkela in a nutshell

Likes

The beautiful campus of NITR spread over 1200 acres is worth exploring.
The seniors here are very friendly and helpful and do not discriminate on the basis of region or zone.
The social life at NITR is commendable as their is a lot of diversity and versatility here.

Dislikes

The academics and allround development of student cam be encouraged and supported.
The quality of mess food need to be worked upon and should be enhanced and be hygienic.
The most problematic thing is the 85% attandance scenario in the college. And also the morning 8:00 am classes.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the seventh semester for placements in B.tech and the third semester in M.tech. Companies visited and offers made: NITR attracts a wide range of companies for placements, some of them are well known like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Deloitte, Infosys, TCS, etc. For circuital branches, placements stats are very good, around 22 lakhs average for CSE, 18 lakhs for ECE, and 16 lakhs for EE. The highest package offered was 89 lakhs off-campus and the on-campus highest package was 53 lakhs. 12 students got more than 50 lpa from on-campus placements and 200 students got more than 20 lpa. The percentage of placements for the electrical and electronics branch is 99%.

The 1200 acre college campus and greenery
Placement and internship oppourtunities .

Dislikes

85% attendance policy just kills you in the semester
SAC working methods are crazy bad and no one cares to correct it

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are descent of all branches and on-campus placement is there, students become eligible for placement from 7th sem and many offers were made last year by more than 200 companies.

I liked the college campus a lot. It is a green campus.
I also liked all the huge fests conducted in the college
I liked the sports facilities provided in the college

Dislikes

I disliked the attandance scheme of the college.
I disliked the curriculum a bit and the rate at which classes were conducted.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are very good. There is a hike in placements each year. Students become eligible from the 5th semester for the campus internship and placements in the 4th year. All the Faang companies have visited the college campus and have recruited students. Mostly 97%get placed in each branch.

Likes

diverse environment: people from different states and country join here and its all of a joyous experience. you get to interact with so many people.
competitive culture: its NITR, you need to always be ahead of the mass in order to shine.
curriculum: its one the best curriculums you will ever find.

Dislikes

club culture: seniors will force you to joins several clubs, and inorder to be an active member of it " being the workforce" you will have to sacrifice a lot of your time.

Placement Experience:

The placement offers come in right from 3rd year and we like to call PPO the pre-placement offer but most companies come at the beginning of 4th year. For my branch, most of our seniors opted for PHDs or maybe educational sectors.

My JEE journey and after jee , campus life ??

Likes

The facilities available are good. Teaching methods are fine.
Placement system is most acceptable. High chances of placement offers.
Campus Life is not boring at all . A lot of fests were organised.

Dislikes

Only bicycle are allowed not any other motors are allowed to academic area.
Parents are not allowed to hostels. Accomodation for parents are not good.

Placement Experience:

Every year a lot of public sector units and private companies visit our Campus and students got placed from final year . In ECE branch the placement percentile is 99% . Highest package was 52lakhs last year. The avarage package is 12lakh.

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience

NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
