It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.

Dislikes

The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

Exploring Excellence: A Comprehensive Review of NIT Rourkela

Good research exposure and infrastructure
Lush green campus and lot of different clubs which help in academics as well as enhancing extra co-curricular activities
Good placements and diversity in profiles or job roles offered

Dislikes

Placements can be more oriented towards other branches
Some faculties are very strict and give less grade to students

Placement Experience:

Placements in NITR are mostly branch oriented. If you are in circuital branches then you will really get a high placement if you work hard enough. For other branches, you have to compete with other branches to get a good placement. Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester. A lot of companies visit like Amazon, Microsoft, wells fargo, Aditya Birla Group, ExxonMobil, Shell and many more with different eligibility criteria. A list of companies can be found on this website https://monday morning .nitrkl.ac.in /live. The offers made this time are around 1000. The highest package is 52 LPA by Amazon Web Services and the profile is software developer. Other profiles offered are AI/ML engineer, GET, Trainee, faculty, business management, consultant, etc. About 80 per cent of students get placements. I will be joining Shell as an associate software engineer after getting the degree.

Likes

Hostel ambience, swimming pool, library.
Laboratories, equipments, centralised ac
Many restaurants available in campus of u don't like hostel food.

Dislikes

You will get bored with potatoes, Puri and paratha in hostel mess.
There is a big procedure to go out of campus for visit.
As the campus is autonomous, we have to always obey professors.

For MTech, students are allowed to sit in placements from 3rd semester. Many great companies like Shell, PWC, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart, Zee, Cummins, think Design, can vault, Mercedes Benz, Volvo etc visit campus.

The hostel facility
The lab are too much advanced they provide all the equipment which is essential for for the students
The education is really very good in this college the professor are very helpful

Dislikes

The zone rule which created by the students which is not good at all

In the 4th semester MNC companies like Amazon Wipro and Infosys and a lot of multinational and national company The highest package is about 45 lakhs per annum About 75+ % of students get placed My plans after my degree will go for higher studies because I have a great interest in research

The highest offer package is that of Microsoft giving 40LPA yet. almost 95 per cent of the people get placed in it

My Nit Rourkela experience till now

The campus is very beautiful. You can enjoy the nature and roam here and there.
Clubs in our college are way better than you can think of.
Students are very competitive because of the high cutoff needed to get into the college

Dislikes

Food provided in the mess is not good and you will miss your home a lot because of it.
You can not live in the college campus without a bicycle because of its large area.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 4th year and for internship programs during 3rd year. There are many companies which visit our campus for campus placements and some of them are Byjus, Microsoft, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Google, Apple, Cognizant, etc. 200+ companies come and give job offers to over 1200 students on average. The highest package goes up to 45 to 50 lakhs or more and the average package is 15-19 lakhs. 95% of students get placed. Many students in my course go for higher studies but I'm planning to go for placements at Byjus or unacademy because I don't want to go for a PhD. But my plans can change later.

NIT Rourkela, Heaven on Earth

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is very good. Many top mnc is coming like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon. About 90% of students got placed last year. The highest package was 48 lakh And min package was around 3 lacs .my plan is to get placed at the top MNCs.

Dont think twice ..the best college in odisha

Campus infrastructure and its facilities
Hostel food is fabulous and very delicious

85 percentage attendance policies and hectic schedules
If anyone gets a fever it is very difficult to get a doctor appointment

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year onwards students become eligible for campus placements. good companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, and amazon came here for campus placements for core branches Gail, ExxonMobil, ONGC etc come here for direct requirements. total approx 1000+ offers made to 900 students in total. The highest package is 83lpa on campus Atlassian and avg package is around 11 lpa. About 85% of students are placed. My plans are simple I am also opting for placements.

Placements generally do occur in the 7th semester and as you can see in the previous year's trends, we can conclude that there is a high chance of getting placed once you enter this campus and all you need for better placement is the relevant skills.

The placement of our campus is good. Delloite, Berger Paints, Tech Mahindra, SBI, etc. are coming to campus for our placements. The average placement package is 8 lakhs PA and the highest package is 12 lakh p.a. After completing the MBA degree I will be doing in the field of HR or Marketing.

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience

NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
