It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.

Dislikes

The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

My B. Tech Degree at NIT Rourkela

Entrance Preview:

I got a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering there as my rank was 3000. I got a seat in the second round there. My percentile was 98 in the JEE Mains entrance exam which helped me in the admission there.

Nit-R genuine review

Placement Experience:

From the third year they are eligible for placements. A lot of companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Wipro, and many more visit here. The highest package is 48 lakhs for the CSE branch. Almost 91% get placed here. I want to crack UPSC after getting degree.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. There are many good companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, etc are visiting and they are offering job according to the quality of students.

NIT Rourkela Review

Placement Experience:

I don't think I have to write much about the college placement as everyone knows that top NITs college placements are best and NIT Rourkela is also from the same league. NIT Rourkela not only manages the 100% placement record but also provides very good placement quality and very good professional opportunities. The highest package was 27 LPA and the average salary offer was 9.50 LPA. Amazon, Barclays, Siemens Gamesa, Citi Bank, Bajaj Auto, Microsoft were the top recruiter of the college.

NIT Rourkela Review

Placement Experience:

The college placement is very good and the college is able to meet the 100% placement record and all thanks to the placement committee of the college. The placement committee of the college is very responsible and very cooperative. They are the ones that help us and guide us during the placement rounds as our information is already registered with the placement committee so they are aware of our domain and interest. The highest package for our batch was approx 28 LPA and the average package was round 10 LPA.

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem students are eligible for placement. Top companies like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, city Bank, Visa, etc. come for placement with nearly 700 job offers in various fields. To be part of the placement process one must have 70 % marks in total grading.

Placement Experience:

Last year 2020 stats about NIT Rourkela placement record is around 89% overall year students get placed.Average CTC aorund 9.6 lakh and highest CTC around 44 lakh and median salary CTC around 7.8 lakh form many different big mnc like Microsoft, Uber etc.

NIT Rourkela: Integrated M.Sc Chemistry review

Placement Experience:

You are eligible for campus placements after the completion of your 8th semester (4 years). I don't have exact data for the number of companies visited and the number of offers made. But what I can say is that it is sufficient. Anyways many students are not interested in placements at all. From our batch of 21 students, I believe 12-13 got placed eventually and they were interested as well. Others didn't sit for the placements. And of the places, 75% or more didn't join the company and went for higher studies including me. So you can imagine how the recruiters will treat and offer the next batches. Average salaries data is not given by the institute so cannot say anything for certain. As an educated guess it would be around INR 4.5 LPA. I had planned to get a campus placement offer in a core company with at least INR 6 LPA or go for MBA. Sadly the previous didn't happen and I had to settle with the second.

NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

The placements by the institute were also pretty nice. Firms such as CIL (Coal India Limited), TCS, DTDS India Pvt Ltd, and others received 100 percent placement. Starting at 6-7 LPA, the greatest package provided was 14 LPA. And at the most of 70-80% of the students got placed from my batch.

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience

NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
