It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.

Dislikes

The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

A brief idea about M.Tech at NIT Rourkela

Remarks:

It's one of the top ranked NIT in India and also it is well connected with major cities. The admission for M.Tech. is through CCMT and the counselling process is solely based on GATE score. The total admission process takes almost 2months including Normal round and special round as well. I searched for different colleges and different specializations on youtube, quora, other review sites. I enquired about the placement statistics as well. As my score was average it is very tough to get a seat in top NITs, but I kept believe on the process and finally I got my seat in NIT Rourkela after a long process. Also you have to pay separate registration fees for normal round and special round. You can give as much as preferences rank wise for different colleges and specializations. NIT Rourkela has very good infrastructure, study climate, central library, sports complexes etc. Also it is nearer to my hometown. NIT Rourkela has also very knowledgeous faculties. I think I got my best choice. Finally I am happy to be a part of NT atmosphere.

Rich Academic experience

Remarks:

I choose NIT Rourkela because of its eminence in Higher learning. Admission to our institute will start around July and classes will start from August. Reason for choosing this college over others is because of the course I was looking for was provided by our institute. And learning something from an institute of National importance is very critical in case of career.

Life at NT Rourkela

Remarks:

I had a real interest in chemistry. And, upon asking some of the professionals in my field, I found that NIT Rourkela is the best place for growing in my specified field of interest. It has perfect faculty members, who are always eager on helping students at need. Not only that, but I got to know that the campus life is very buzzing and a perfect place to improve your overall personality.

Review of NIT Rourkela

Remarks:

It's a top ranked University in NIRF Engineering at 16th postion India wide. I had talked to the seniors who studied in this course previously, they've suggested me that it's a good course and the placements are also very good. Being one of the oldest NITs, there will be many opportunities for the students in terms of placements and curriculum.

A auspicious life at NIT,R

Remarks:

They have best hostel facility,food quality is very good ,Each and every hostel in each floor there will be 2-3 washing machines , aquaguard .Now I came to academic section-In my program there were 20 facultiesAll are best. If you feel any trouble to understand topic they will help you beside that they will tell a lot of things which will help you in your upcoming life.Admission process is very smooth because your faculty advisor will take all responsibility. So, No problem will arise at admission time.

Good aspects - NIT Rourkela is a well established college with a glorious past. The alumni network is amazing and is growing exponentially. Placement scenario is way above average and research opportunities are the best. The campus life is something to die for, club culture is thriving and amazing people from all over India and abroad join hands to sustain a conducive ecosystem for growing personally and professionally in all aspects of life.Bad aspects - Poor administration and rigid outdated curriculum.

NIT Rourkela is definitely a nice place

Remarks:

College was close to my home state and i was getting home state quota as well in JEE mains. The Ranking of NIT Rourkela is on higher side in our country and it was a major factor. The placements are good as well(mostly for CS EC EI EE). Campus was really good.

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience

NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
