It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.

Dislikes

The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

Why NITB?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to appear in campus placement drive after the 5th semester in B.tech courses while after the second semester in m.tech courses. I got the placement in IGATE solution with a package of 3.75 during M.Tech in 2010.

Colleg life is the best life

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I much interest in it. Student faculty ratios is good as per availability. Professor are available most of the time. They are all very qualified and are hired as per the minimum requirements criteria of the college. Exams are semester-wise and happen biannually. It's difficult to pass the exams if you don't study properly throughout the year.

Masters in NIT rkl

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is an extension of my B.Tech in mechanical engineering, so I chose this course. The college is in my home town and is one of the best NITs in India. So it was an easy choice for me. The faculty are great and very well educated. The exams were semesters, with 2 semester exams per year.

Life inside NIT Rourkela.

Placement Experience:

NIT Rkl has a well-maintained history of campus placements. All the top branches have 90+% placements with a median salary of 15 lacs CTC per annum, the highest of 45lacs and the minimum of 9 lacs per annum. Students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester onwards. There are many MNCs, LLCs, and other private ltd companies that visit the campus for placement. The training and placement cell of the college is always up and ready to help you with it and they ensure that a maximum number of students get placed each year. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Tata, HCL, DELL, Qualcomm, Texas, etc are names of some of the most reputed companies that visit the campus during the placement season. You can definitely sit for placements or can prepare for GATE and PSU jobs like me. As being from a core dept, chances of getting jobs in Govt sector is also high.

Placement Experience:

After the 4th semester, internship offers come to college, companies approach college. companies like - Microsoft, Amazon, Barclays, Goldman Sachs, Accenture, Samsung, Qualcomm, AMD, Adobe, Mediatek, and Intel are famous here. Companies like Flipkart, and Hotstar offered a 1lakh per month stipend, in internship. in 21-22. For placements, The highest package this year is 46.04 LPA from Microsoft for 12 students, followed by Amazon 44 LPA and NVIDIA, AMD too offered descent packages In top branches nearly 97% + get placed. Other branches depends.

NIT my Dream

Placement Experience:

After completing Integrated MSC Chemistry courses, individuals might move in one of two directions. One option is to pursue further education, such as enrolling in a Ph.D. program. Another option is to educate Jee and Neet learners in private institutes. The campus is visited by private institutes such as Akash, Allen, and others. If pupils perform well during the interview rounds, they are given substantial offers starting from 5 LPA.

My amazing college life

Placement Experience:

As my college is famous for its placement records a lot of companies have started coming in my first semester itself. some of my friends have been playing at a package of 8 lacs per annum in the core finance. The highest package offered in the last batch was around 30 lacs and many multinational companies like Amazon, Deloitte and IBM visited our campus to hire students. A lot of grooming sessions were also provided by my college to boost our confidence.

NIT Rourkela Experience

Placement Experience:

The college placement is excellent, and the college is able to maintain its 100% placement record, thanks to the college's placement committee. The college's placement committee is responsible and cooperative. They are the ones who assist and guide us during the placement rounds because our information has already been registered with the placement committee, allowing them to be aware of our domain and interests. Our batch's highest package was approximately 26 LPA, and the average package was approximately 10 LPA.

NIT RKL Mme Review

Placement Experience:

It's a top NIT.So placements are average. From our branch around 11 lpa went highest and the average was 6 Lpa. From another branch like ei, cse ,ece,ee people had got many top placements like Microsoft, Google etc. Overall college average is 9 lpa and almost 95% of students are placed.

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience

NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
