It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.

Dislikes

The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

Placement Experience:

Many students opt for higher studies after Btech from here. Almost 75-90 percent of students were placed and many companies visit for campus placements. I was also planning to do mtech after my btech from nit rkl.

the placements in this course is good but still sometimes people here do not see placement as the only option. a couple of my friends went for higher studies iisc , iits and explore a different aspect of working in research. the course is designed in such a way that some people tend towards research rather working an organization

NIT Rourkela "A dream for excellence"

Remarks:

I considered NIRF Ranking, placement history of the college and department value at college. Size of the college. Recognition of the college. Quality of labs, library facilities, sports facilities, gym and swimming pool.

Placement Experience:

Placements start after 6th semester There are many companies which provide on campus internship even more than that comes in placement season So more than 90% students get placed in NITR if we want to do. And others don't do it may be because of their higher education. I plan to do my job after I get placed.

The most beautiful NIT of India, you will enjoy every bit of NIT.

Placement Experience:

You can get placement from third year onwards as pre placement offer after internship. There are many companies visiting like Tata, Bajaj, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs and many more. Number of offer depends on you ,many students get 3 to 4 offers also and most probably everyone gets an offer in their last year .Highest package offered was around 42 lakhs in CSE department and average of the college is around 7 lakhs .Microsoft Goldman Sachs gave 3 to 4 Students each around 30 to 35 lacs .More than 92% students got placements. I have planned to join IIT after clearing Gate.

The students are eligible from the 7th semester for placements. There are different categories depending on the package offered and everyone is eligible. 100% placement is achieved almost every year. There are companies for specific streams as well.

Placement Experience:

From 7-semester students will eligible for campus placements, 200 companies with a lot of software and core opportunities, 43 lakhs highest 3.5 is the least, 88% of students got placements if I didn't get the job I will do MBA.

Remarks:

NIT rkl has a good rank among the NIT(s) and with the marks i obtained, it seemed to be the best option for me. Also it is located in my homestate. The college has a large campus with many lakes and green all around. It also has the Asia's biggest digital library. The course i opted is BTech In Engineering as this is the field i would like to study further.

This college is a dream for many students as it is one of the best NIT of India. The computer science department of the college is outstanding with lots of opportunities for research too. I opted this course because the placement of this course is much better than other courses.

In the year 2020, 84.32 per cent of students were graduated. Among the graduated students, 97.62 were placed with a median package of 6.5LPA. In the year 2019, 98.1 per cent of students were placed with an average package of 5.98 LPA.

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience

NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
