NIT Silchar Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Placement is very good here. The on campus placement opportunities is quite good and many big well reputed companies visit here for hiring students. The highest package offered last year was around 80lpa and the average is around 12lpa and for CSE it's about 16-18lpa average

Students become eligible from 7th semester of their course. Whereas we start getting on-campus internships from 5th semester onwards. Top IT Companies visit the college for non-core placements and for core also several companies including PSUs visit the campus.

Usualy palcement of our college is good but after covid there is ression in market due to this placement in our college effected badely.before covidabove 95 percent cse student placed with average 14 lakh per annum salary and placement in other branch is also good. but afer covid placement is very low till now

7th sem students are eligible for placements. microsoft samsung infosis tcs etc. are some companies made around 900 offers. 80 lpa is the highest and 14lpa is the average packages. 85%of the students got placed. to get a placement with better package in a software company.

For past few years , there has been a positive rise in placement percent , average package and highest package. Generally, more than 90 % students are placed out of all who appear for placement. Hopefully I get a good package.

I am interested in mechanical engineering. So I chose this branch. There will be one sixty students in each branch. The faculty here are very talented With a a gap of two months we will have exams.

After third year the students are getting placed in internship or getting jobs. Most of the students got placed from each department The average package is 8.8 lpa from core branches And from tech branches 12 lpa is averages.

After 6 semesters you are eligible for campus placement. Google, Facebook. Amazon, Goldman Sachs, IBM TCS vipro.PSu, Mahindra.honda L&t. Samsung Microsoft And so many companies tech or nontech. Placement Most of the CSE branches take the highest CTC per company like 70-80 lakh or an average 14-15lakh or a median of 10-12 lakh per annum. CSE 98-97, ECE 91-91, EE 89-90.

My course is electronics and instrumentation engineering it has both benefits we can move in both IT sector and CORE sector. 75:5 is the ratio of students and facilities. All facilities have good qualification of teaching.Here all term exams are held on timely.It is a little difficult to pass all the subjects, some subjects are easy.

I chose this course because it was my dream. The faculty and the students are good and cooperative but some are disturbing the faculty is highly qualified and they are the one who are the top faculties the term exams was a bit difficult.
