PEC Chandigarh Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

It is a prestigious college and was in my hometown. Also the placement ratio is also good. I opted Electrical Engineering because of my rank but after a while a started developing interest in it. The college makes you an all rounder, boosts up confidence in you apart from technical side, cultural side of the college is also rich.

Before joining the college i came to visit the college in June 2017. I visited the department of materials and metallurgical engineering and talked the students already studying in this branch who were of different years so that i could get an overall information about the stream and the college. The survey was satisfactory like about what they told me about the training and placement companies that visit our campus. I had a word with one of the professors of this branch who briefed me about the curriculum well!

PEC is one of the oldest and most prestigious college across the country. The alumnus of PEC hold top positions across various corporations as well all the senior ranking bureaucratic positions in the central and state government. The institution focuses equally on education and arts. Defense research is one of the hallmark research of the institute.

There are much more job options for circuital branches(CSE, ECE, EE) than non-circuital branches(Mech, Civil, Production, Metallurgy and aerospace.) There are different profiles most of which are related to coding.

PEC is one of the oldest government college in India, heading to complete its 100 years in 2021. PEC is a big brand name and the quality of education truly proves this. There are improved placement scenario in the college every year, it is one of the primary reason I took admission in this college. Here are top companies to recruit the graduates at handsome packages. Also, the environment to study is great, internship interviews etc. The thing I like the most is the Pre Placement Training that college conducts in 4th semester . It is a great move for preparing one for difficult interviews and how to handle them. They introduce students from resume writing to hoe to handle interview questions.Another thing is the support of the faculty is great do not matter which branch faculty you approach all are ready to guide students at any level. I will honestly say that Metallurgy was not my first preference instead I wanted to become a civil engineer but couldn't make that, and because I was getting Metallurgy in college like PEC so I took admission in the course and now I am satisfied with my decision, developing interest in this field

Infrastructure is one of the best in the northern India, with high speed wifi all over the campus to digital library, PEC has it all. Moreover our alumni have made the presence of their college felt all over the globe which helps students to secure foreign internships which in turn broadens their horizon. Moreover the faculty is highly trained and capable. Time to time quizes, assignments and examinations keep the students on their toes unlike the engineering students from many other private and government colleges where they tend to study only the night before the exams. The competitive yet supportive environment of PEC provides students the perfect platform to start preparing for various competitive examinations like UPSC apart from sitting in placements.

PEC has a good reputation, it's economically viable, near to home and I gave preference to a unique course I was getting at PEC. Also PEC has a rich history of producing notable alumni and it has amazing cultural clubs that provide holistic development of personality.

PEC is one of the finest colleges in Punjab and has a glorious past with highly celebrated alumni. I had to choose between PEC and NITs, specifically, NIT Jalandhar but due to some mistake in counseling form for NITs, I had no other option. So, the choice became pretty one sided and I chose PEC. Moreover, PEC is situated in Chandigarh which is a beautiful place to spend the best four years of your life!

Punjab Engineering College is a really renowned college. It is the best engineering college in Chandigarh and is quite an established one. PEC has also produced many notable alumni, and this college is quite diversified as it comprises of engineering streams like Aerospace Engineering and Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, that are not very common in colleges.

Chandigarh University is the best university not because I am a student of this university but because of the facilities and their efforts which they continuously put for students and their growth and last year university also get NAAC A+ accreditation.
