I liked the campus beauty and the staff over here who are very supportive and the teachera who are ready for yoy every time you go to them and wven the hygine is maintained quite good here
Faculty members in this department are the best atleast i think so, they interact with students in a friendly manner this allows us to freely ask our doubts and gain knowledge.
Tution fee in each year is increased by 10 percent and there are number of scholarships and fee refunds for which a student can apply for after approval of his cirtificates and various other documents.

Dislikes

Hostels - their is not sufficient hostels available for students and hostel mess is very bad. their is no student union available so it is very difficult to make some change in college.
It is not so good as expected because of lack of facilities within the college.but according to social aspects and culture it is good and our nit is lacking infrastructure and this affects campus life too.
It is a very small campus compared to the other nits, the college grounds are very small, and there are no separate buildings for the courses.

Placement:here placements are just awesome. Average package is 13 lpa and avg package for IT and cse branches are 18 and 16 lpa respectively.
Mess food: people also say home food is best. What I feel mess food here are good al, hygenic and healthy. Mess workers are friendly and cooperative.

Dislikes

Hostels:hostel seats are not enough . Only limited students get hostels. On an average only 25 percent from each branch

Placement Experience:

Here placements are very good. What the most I like of my college is placements. Here overall placement percent is about 80 percent. Average package is about 12 lpa for college. Avg package for cse is 16 lpa and for IT is 18 lpa. Placements in upper branches like cse and IT is about 90 percent .

placements are quite good in my college and the highest placement is 88 lpa and elegible candidate are from 7th semster highest was 88 lpa and average was around 25 lpa do masters after degree mostly everyone will get their placements

Infrastructure is not so good here, class rooms are not good, no proper water facility, no good sports infrastructure for various sports such as basketball volleyball. Hostel facility is not here for homestate people even other state people struggle
Faculties are good still they need to improve their way of teaching. Every class is very boring which makes me don't want to attend the classes. I feel like they should teach properly using there best way so that we can listen to them interestingly
Hostel facility should be there for homestate people also so that they don't struggle near by the college finding rooms. In summer the AC should be switched on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose metallurgical and materials engineering because I am inspired from my father and uncle who work in such plants where metallurgical practices are done. So I also want to see how metallurgy sector works. This course teaches us about various things such a mineral and ore beneficiation, iron and steel making, non- ferrous metal extraction after this we study about casting and solidification after this metal is fully prepared and we study about physical metallurgy of the metals after that we study about heat treatment of metals transport phenomena and testing of materials. More labs and practicals should be done so that we can experience everything thoroughly. Teachers should teach well the lectures should not be boring. Exams are taken here more frequently in a gap of one month. First mid sem is taken after 1 month end sem is taken.

The placement cell worked tirelessly to bring reputed companies to campus, resulting in excellent placement opportunities for students and setting a high standard for career prospects after graduation

Dislikes

At times, bureaucratic processes and administrative delays could be frustrating, impacting various aspects of campus life such as hostel allocations, registration procedures, and academic services.
While the campus offered a range of extracurricular activities, there were limitations in terms of recreational facilities, such as sports complexes and leisure spaces, which could be expanded to cater to diverse interests.
Though the academic curriculum was comprehensive, there could have been more flexibility in course offerings and elective choices to cater to individual interests and career aspirations.

NIT RAIPUR CHAPTER

College is very good connectivity in terms of Railways. Roadways and Airports. College have a very near Railway Station just behind the college.
Intelligent people around you always pushes you towards your goal and motivates you throughout your journey in NIT RAIPUR.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very bad here. Basic faculties like are absent. Poor drinking very bad internet connection campus internet laggs a lot.
Professors, Guards and Assistants are very conservative in nature.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Biotechnology is a very immerging field and it excites me a lot. Biotechnologists demand is rising in India and entire world. Talking with one faculty motivated me to join this programme. Faculties are most qualified and cooperative in this branch. They really enjoys teaching and you can learn so much from them. They all have multiple PhD and Post Docs from foreign universities. They are overacheivers of their batch. Their research are well recognized ones. They are very passionate. Curriculum is little bit tough but totally doable. You have study daily to score good. Placement is decent. You have to do efforts to get placed mostly non core placements. GATE and higher studies culture is very good here. Competition level is very good here. Teachers are so much willing to teach even they motivates us a lot. But students are not willing to attend classes and they bunk classes. Infrastructure is not too good here they are under developed but teachers qualities compensates every thing rating

I like this college very much because it give me many memories as I am in 2nd year so I am having lots of memories in first year also
This college gave me self confidence self belief faith smartness even more confident to talk in front of everybody

I don't like about this campus is the campuses quotes small as compared to different NITs e

NIT Raipur provide on campus placement so the placement comes in comes like into background for tech and for core as NIT Raipur consists of 11 branches any branches student can sit in tech placement also and the placement is also very nice in our college as it provide maximum student placed different types of companies like TCS Tata Aditya Birla deboi Amazon comes to our college even the Jindal company also come to our college for the course student and many more company visit to our college for internship and for placement the highest package as per the company is around 55 to 56 LPS or CTC and the average package is around 16 lakhs and the below packages is around 6 to 7 average I am talking about computer science and engineering branch and it is as similar as it also and core placement is some what different from technical placement.

NIT RAIPUR DIARIES

The the greenery of the college. Our college is has a beautiful green campus which is green throughout the year all thanks to the gardeners, for maintaining
There is also a railway station attached to our college named as Saraswati nagar railway station which is very which makes it very convenient for students coming from far away to reach the college timely and helps them bee regular
Our college has a big ground which supports different sports activities such as football volleyball basketball cricket badminton and many other sports as well

Dislikes

There are many restrictions in our college in terms of timing for example our college is open whole day but it closes at 10:00 p.m. and opens again in the morning write the cover college should be open 24/7 so that we can roam in the campus anytime
The classes are not updated according to the modern colleges many times we see the tube lights are not working , the labs are also not fully furnished and spacious they are very old and congestedthe smart board is not working the benches are broken
The sex ratio in our college is not that good and the culture is also not that good in our college students form different groups and be in that group only students have very conservative mind sets

Course Curriculum Overview:

According to me the course is very good and relevant i didn't thought much before taking the course it was just that i was getting a nit so I choosed the seat without thinking much about the branch , however now i have developed a interest in biotechnology and thinking to percuse it in future. Labs however is a big set back the labs are very conjusted and machines are also very less in number there is a need to upgrade the lab . Classes are also very good consisting of smart boards which us helpfull for teachers as well as for students. Classes are from monday to Friday from 9 to 1 is countues after the lunch from 2 pm and 2 days in a week we have a lab class as well.

Nothing but an Honest Review

Likes

I met a few a good people that i call my friends which was nice.
The degree i get will hopefully be a backup for future endeavours.
I've heard the placements are very nice here.

Dislikes

The curriculum is disappointing since it puts you to sleep most of the time.
The minimum attendance criteria to sit in the exams is ridiculous.
Some faculties in some departments don't like when boys and girls talk to each other in the hallways or class which was weird.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum I think still lacks relevance since I a lot of it can be crammed up and pertains to rote learning which is to be done a day before the examination and the things which are actually to be studied to obtain a job in these tough market situations are to studied by ourselves only by online or whichever means.

Campus which are given with every facilities
Student are very friendly in this college
Fests which are covered with a large involvement

Dislikes

Fests are covered within 2 months only..
Campus area is large but the infrastructure is not good
Ground is not provided properly for the every sports

Overall connectivity of college is great and it's located in the centre of city.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities is ok and it's great for tech branches(CSE ,IT). Companies like Amazon,Adobe, Accenture etc visit the college for placements. Highest package is of 55 lakh. Overall 75 % placement is there and 90% for tech branches

As an alumnus of NIT Raipur, here are my views on this institution-

Faculty- The faculty lags behind in terms of NIT standards. It is slightly above average. This is because their teaching method is not very engaging. That being said, the teachers are helpful. They will advise you to engage in extracurriculars as well.

Student Interaction- The senior-junior interaction is good.

Despite IIT Raipur and AIIMS Raipur being in close proximity, interaction and

idea-sharing with them is negligible.

Industry Connect- It has a good industry connection for some core branches like mining, metallurgy, and civil.

Campus Life- The campus life isn’t good. But eventually, you’ll learn to cope with things and enjoy yourself. You’ll learn a lot during your degree from this campus.

Infrastructure- There is a lot of room for improvement in the infrastructure of this college.

Placement- Placement records are decent. Last year an average package of INR 10.1 LPA was recorded by the college. A total of 738 offers were made by 101 companies. Some of the companies that visit the campus for placements include- Infoedge, Siemens, Adobe, Barclays, Capgemini, FIAT, Reliance, TATA, SapientNitro, Oracle, Amazon, Samsung, JP Morgan Chase, Cognizant and Wipro.

Overall, I would say that NIT Raipur is a bit lacking in many respects. However, you’ll get a good chance to rise over here because of low competition.
