I liked the campus beauty and the staff over here who are very supportive and the teachera who are ready for yoy every time you go to them and wven the hygine is maintained quite good here
Faculty members in this department are the best atleast i think so, they interact with students in a friendly manner this allows us to freely ask our doubts and gain knowledge.
Tution fee in each year is increased by 10 percent and there are number of scholarships and fee refunds for which a student can apply for after approval of his cirtificates and various other documents.

Dislikes

Hostels - their is not sufficient hostels available for students and hostel mess is very bad. their is no student union available so it is very difficult to make some change in college.
It is not so good as expected because of lack of facilities within the college.but according to social aspects and culture it is good and our nit is lacking infrastructure and this affects campus life too.
It is a very small campus compared to the other nits, the college grounds are very small, and there are no separate buildings for the courses.

college review for nit raipur

Likes

locality of the campus is very good as it is in middle of city you can easily go out and transportation is easily available
railway station is near the campus which is raipur junction and we can easily reach there is 5-10 mins
so many green trees in campus and it is always quite pleasant during rainy season in campus

Dislikes

campus size is little small in size it is nearly 80 acres which is small.
hostel is very less and you may have to take hostel or pg outside the campus
hostel mess food is very bad in taste and room cleaning occurs very less like 1 time in a week or 2

Placement Experience:

students from 3rd year are eligible for placement and also 4th year as campus placements are good as many big companies come on campus like microsoft, DE SHAW etc. which offers good amount. in IT and CSE branch average package is nearly 18 lpa which is good and highest is nearly 50-60 lpa. nearly 90-100 percent placment occurs in this 2 branches and little low in other branches.

I liked the fest that get organised here every year because they have a variety of fest that includes cultural and non cultural fest that teaches you about your culture and inmoroves your overall development throgh it and makes you feel happy and com
I liked the way the teachera teaches and the lan here where you can learn various things throuh prohects and otherthings.

Dislikes

I disliked that they dont provide hostels to all and they have a shortage of hostel and even the food served in the hostel not very good
Even hygine is not maintained in the hostel and the washrooms are not as clean as they should have .
The rooms are 3-4 sharing in a small roo which is not good because having so much of people in a small room is so much hectic and even the rooms are not well maintained.

The placemsnts are good in our college and from the 4th semester onwards students are eligible for internships and from the 7th semester they are eligible for campus placement. Last year companies like tata, jsw, atlassian, adobe, infosys, Deloitte and many other companies visited the campus . The highest package was 60 lakh given to a vse graduate. The the average package was 13 lakh per annum. Around 86 to 90 percentage of students get placed last year. I am planning first to get a job and to have a experience of certain year the I will be thinking of doing mba fir the hike of salary. Overall the college is good for palcements.

SPORTS IN EVENING - ONE OF THE BEST PLACE TO RELEASE STRESS AND RELAX YOURSELF IN PLAYGROUND
ENJOYING WITH FRIENDS IN GARDEN AND CAMPUS IS ALSO ONE OF THE BEST MEMORIES DURING COLLEGE

AVAILABILITY OF HOSTELS IS NOT ACCOMODATED FOR ALL
LACK OF PROPER DIGITAL BOARDS IN CLASSROOMS
LACK OF GIRLS IN COLLEGE (RATIO IS VERY DISSAPOINTING)

Placement Experience:

CURRENTLY HAVING NO MUCH INFORMATION REGARDING IT, FROM METALLURGY IT WAS 80% PLACEMENT RATIO WITH 10LPA . HIGHEST WAS FROM CS AND IT BRANCH AROUND 60LPA LAST YEAR. MY PLANS ARE TO PREPARE FOR CIVIL SERVICES AFTER GRADUATION.

Student Life at National Institute of technology, Raipur

Likes

Placement was good enough for all branches in the college
Faculty was good enough for all branches in the college
Infrastructure was excellent with good academic buildings for the adminstrataion block

Dislikes

Lack of hostel facility for all students around 1800 students intake per year but only 400 seats avialable per year for students.
Mainatance of hostel washrooms and hostel rooms no cleaning avialable for students in the hostel.
Ground was small and mess food is not that much good somnetimes we cant even eat that.

Placement Experience:

from seven semesters students are eligible for placements. arcesium, deshaw, adobe, oracle etc. 54lpa by Microsoft average of 14 lpa. around 87 per cent last year working in the software industry and coaching for competitive exams.

Likes

The schedule about the syllabus completion is good and have a good discipline.
Campus is overall good and it provides place for sports and other curriculum activities.
Fest events and clubs and community are very good.

Dislikes

Water cooler are not working properly so need to correct it.
Sometimes due to hactic days the time in class goes too long.
All areas are not used in the campus activities.

Placement Experience:

Last year the placements are good as many students got placed with good salary and into a good companies for better knowledge you can explore official website. Many companies participate in the placement events. Highest and average packages can be seen in the official website. The percentage of student sgetting placement is good .

Likes

Library is good in NIT RAIPUR. We got good environment in Library for doing studies
Sports is also good here. I got opportunity to show my football talent here.
Placements of this college is very good .

Dislikes

Hostel is not available for everyone. This is not good here
Facilities are too much strict. They do strict checking in semesters copies
Labs are not good here. No new equipment are present in lab

Campus placement is good in nit raipur. Most of the students got Campus placement through the college and average package is around 10 lakh per annum. The higher package offered by Adobe around 55 placement to one of ece student.

Experience I had after joining NIT Raipur

Likes

I didn't particularly liked anything. But the availability of college facilities like labs where nice.
The college staff are racist and treat some of the students poorly

Dislikes

The college campus isn't that impressive.
Hostel have limited rooms because of which students are forced to stay outside in rents which are higher in cost. Whereas every other nit provides all the students with hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I am interested in this particular field of work. I think the curriculum prepares us well enough for real world applications, as for the teaching method I do believe that better faculty could be appointed and I think the timing of exams might be a bit hectic

NIT RAIPUR- PROS AND CONS

Likes

Placement scenarios are good for non core branches.
The exposure we get in different clubs and committee is very good.
Travelling network is good, railway stations are airport are close to campus.

Dislikes

Bad infrastructure, no proper facilities inside campus.
Insufficient accomodation for all the students.
Too much restrictions are there related to in times for campus as well as hostel.

Placement Experience:

The highest package of core branches are around 21-30lakhs, but the highest package and median packages of non core branches lie around 65lakhs and 18lakhs respectively. The roles offered mostly are of SDE and Analyst. More than 70% students get placed.

Likes

Placements are good in this college if you want to go in non core and you hustle for coding then surely you will get good placements.
The fees and accomodation cost for living in Raipur are bit less and because of low fees its comfortable to pay it.
Fest in our college are held on a descent level

Dislikes

Small campus area than many of the other NITs
No availability of hostels for all the students
The infrastructure of this college is not that developed

NIT raipur at a glance

Likes

The campus is much enjoyable with your friends.
There are many places to visit when you get bored.
Although faculty is not up to the mark,the placement statistics are quiet decent.

Dislikes

The academics are not upto the mark .
Infrastucture is another flaw which should be improved
At most disliked thing is that the hostel seats are very limited .

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 3rd year.If you need any information regarding the placements you can visit the college official website,there will be a list of companies visited the college in a particular year and statistics of the placements. The average pacakage is about 9LPa for chemical engineering.It will be differed when it comes to CSE,IT .THe highest package this year(2024) is about 53lpa . Many of the students will get job offers during the campus itself and few people remain jobless and they get prepare for off-campus and few opt for higher studies. Almost 80-90 percent gets placed in the college itself irrespective of the branch.

As an alumnus of NIT Raipur, here are my views on this institution-

Faculty- The faculty lags behind in terms of NIT standards. It is slightly above average. This is because their teaching method is not very engaging. That being said, the teachers are helpful. They will advise you to engage in extracurriculars as well.

Student Interaction- The senior-junior interaction is good.

Despite IIT Raipur and AIIMS Raipur being in close proximity, interaction and

idea-sharing with them is negligible.

Industry Connect- It has a good industry connection for some core branches like mining, metallurgy, and civil.

Campus Life- The campus life isn’t good. But eventually, you’ll learn to cope with things and enjoy yourself. You’ll learn a lot during your degree from this campus.

Infrastructure- There is a lot of room for improvement in the infrastructure of this college.

Placement- Placement records are decent. Last year an average package of INR 10.1 LPA was recorded by the college. A total of 738 offers were made by 101 companies. Some of the companies that visit the campus for placements include- Infoedge, Siemens, Adobe, Barclays, Capgemini, FIAT, Reliance, TATA, SapientNitro, Oracle, Amazon, Samsung, JP Morgan Chase, Cognizant and Wipro.

Overall, I would say that NIT Raipur is a bit lacking in many respects. However, you’ll get a good chance to rise over here because of low competition.
