I liked the campus beauty and the staff over here who are very supportive and the teachera who are ready for yoy every time you go to them and wven the hygine is maintained quite good here
Faculty members in this department are the best atleast i think so, they interact with students in a friendly manner this allows us to freely ask our doubts and gain knowledge.
Tution fee in each year is increased by 10 percent and there are number of scholarships and fee refunds for which a student can apply for after approval of his cirtificates and various other documents.

Dislikes

Hostels - their is not sufficient hostels available for students and hostel mess is very bad. their is no student union available so it is very difficult to make some change in college.
It is not so good as expected because of lack of facilities within the college.but according to social aspects and culture it is good and our nit is lacking infrastructure and this affects campus life too.
It is a very small campus compared to the other nits, the college grounds are very small, and there are no separate buildings for the courses.

My college my pride

Likes

I like the canteens that we have in our college amd the garden named as central garden
Also I like the computer lab which has a separate building and has so many computers
I also like the library,it has many books that we can read and gain much knowledge

Dislikes

I dislike the college infrastructure as it is too less
Also I dislike that the faculties do not use much technology for studies
Again a thing that I don't like is the classrooms which can be better with more technical things

Placement Experience:

I am quite satisfied with the college placement as it has many companies which visit every year and recruits many students whose average package is of six to eight lakhs and highest is of fifty five lakhs

Best Days of college

Likes

Our college has good placement around 55 lakh per annum in this year it is very grateful to giving us opportunity and responsibility on our shoulder
Our faculty Advisors are very good and they are very helpful and the gives suggestion to getting success in our life
Our college has good potential to give very good engineer in India which were helpful for increasing the GDP of India

Dislikes

Our college has small area which were not good for campus life they have not a sufficient amount of bad that effects our hostel life

I choose mining engineering for because I like it the way of mining engineer work on the field and there inspired me to took the branch of mining which have lots of aspect to doing well for country and our peoples I want to improve the culture of mining which is very disasting today I have to clear the all kind of negative things on the field and make a sustainable and clear environment we have very good faculty in NIT Raipur for mining engineering they give us 100% a potential and they teachers to sustain all kind of problem and provider very clear and thoughtful answer or solution

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, RAIPUR (Short and Accurate)

Likes

The placement records are better than other higher NITs and colleges.
The faculties are highly qualified and have expertise in there respective branches.
The canteen includes AMUL Parlour, Vachan Parlour , Cafe Coffee day and Bihan canteen.

Dislikes

The campus size is small as compared to other NITs.
The 75% attendance sometimes feel hectic to students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty here at NIT Raipur is very well-qualified and almost every professor are PhD holder. The machines and instruments are not as recent as other major colleges but better than other GFTIs in the state.

Placement Experience:

It is well and good for the branch Metallurgy and mining branch which have received max palcement of 70 lakh and for the others branch average package is 30 lakh.the students gets eligible for campus placements from third year aand mostly from the 7 and 8 th semester.Companies visited for placement like TATA ,SAIL ,RAIL, ADANI etc.

Review of NIT Raipur

Likes

Their placement are avg for all branches including minning .
College provides scholarship for those students that doesnt afford .like remission and NSP, Reliance scholarship every year for first year students

Dislikes

Hostel food is one of the thing that you will dislike the most here.
Some teachers especially of first year are not trained .for jee level students , they just come and start copying everything from copy on the board.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I myself is the student of computer science and engineering in NIT Raipur which is considered as the institute of national importance , My class avg PKG is about 15lpa which quite good enough than most of the colleges in India , and my fees is also very less due to scholarship I have given . Teachers are also knowledgeable but not enough as students of jee cleared need forteir development

LIFE AT NIT RAIPUR

Likes

The college supports ideas and provides funds for innovative projects.
Faculties of biomedical engineering department
The guidance provided by the seniors and alumni

Dislikes

Campus is very small and infrastructure is average.
Less number of events and fests compared to other NITs
Lack of seats in hostel even some 1st years have to rent a room outside campus.

Placement Experience:

In sixth semester person can apply for placements. But even in first semester one if they have enough skills can apply for internships. College provides various intership opportunities. Due to recession placement scenario this year is little bit less but compared to other colleges it's still very high. Average package of CS and IT is around 14-16 LPA. Overall average package this year is around 10-11 LPA. Highest package offered till now is 54 LPA. Major recruiters are Deloitte, Tata , Reliance, Wipro, Adobe, Samsung, etc. I'm currently doing BIO-MEDICAL engineering and it is an interesting course, after graduation I will be focusing on higher studies in Bio medical only.

College review useful for students

Likes

Brilliantbrains(upperclassmen) to take guidance from are present and are helping students regularly.
Fest and event organised here helps to understand every students how to handle big events.
The college is located at a good place as it is close to every essential stops.

Dislikes

Less number of hostel rooms because of which students are unable to enjoy to the fullest.
Mess food is not good, water here seems to contain less of health nutrition and have being making people sick and weak.
I do not like the credit system present here it is ruined mental peace of many students here.

Placement Experience:

Placements differs when you observe the packages of different branches computer science and information technology have highest package placements where chemical engineering has highest placement rate. But due to recession in USA students are currently securing placements at very low pace and also internship offered have also being reduced.

My life in NIT

Likes

All professors are good.They encourages us time to time
There is encouragement for sports and extra curricular activities.
Placement opportunities is very good. There is two canteen.

Dislikes

Campus is about hundred access . It should be little more bigger
Hostel is limited. Every year you have to fought for hostel is it will based on your performance
There is shortage of visiting site. As it is located in the middle of city

Placement Experience:

Campos placement is available in this college and there is higher probability for placement specially for chemical and minning branches. Placement is started from fourth year.compinies visited here like Microsoft,Vedanta , Reliance, SRF L&T etc

My home - NIT Raipur

Likes

I like my professor of electrical department and their way of teaching
The cricket facilities are very friendly and ground is also big
Third thing it is located in central india so i also enjoy south festival

Dislikes

The campus area is very small and about 100 acre
In NIT raipur there is shortage of hostel
There are only 2 parks so for night walk there is no small park near hostel

Placement Experience:

The placement for electrical branch is almost very good and the placement percentage is 85% and the students get average package of 11lakh and for non-core they get 15 lakh also so it depends on you which field you have interest

My journey to nit raipur

Likes

There is no academic pressure as academics is good and easy.
There is much time for your extra calicular activities soo you can develope skills in any field easily
Seniors and faculties are very helpful so you don't have to hesitate while asking for help and you can easily contact with seniors and faculties.

Dislikes

Here only few students got hostel due to less seats in hostels so you have to go outside of college for living
College buildings are very old so there are not much facilities as compared to new colleges

Placement Experience:

Earlier, the average package offered during NIT Raipur placements 2022 stood at INR 10.12 LPA. Further, a total of 693 offers were received during NIT Raipur BTech placements 2022. Apart from this, a total of 47 and 69 offers were received during NIT Raipur MTech and MCA placements 2022, respectively. The top recruiters during NIT Raipur placements 2022 included Deloitte, Wipro and Genpact.

As an alumnus of NIT Raipur, here are my views on this institution-

Faculty- The faculty lags behind in terms of NIT standards. It is slightly above average. This is because their teaching method is not very engaging. That being said, the teachers are helpful. They will advise you to engage in extracurriculars as well.

Student Interaction- The senior-junior interaction is good.

Despite IIT Raipur and AIIMS Raipur being in close proximity, interaction and

idea-sharing with them is negligible.

Industry Connect- It has a good industry connection for some core branches like mining, metallurgy, and civil.

Campus Life- The campus life isn’t good. But eventually, you’ll learn to cope with things and enjoy yourself. You’ll learn a lot during your degree from this campus.

Infrastructure- There is a lot of room for improvement in the infrastructure of this college.

Placement- Placement records are decent. Last year an average package of INR 10.1 LPA was recorded by the college. A total of 738 offers were made by 101 companies. Some of the companies that visit the campus for placements include- Infoedge, Siemens, Adobe, Barclays, Capgemini, FIAT, Reliance, TATA, SapientNitro, Oracle, Amazon, Samsung, JP Morgan Chase, Cognizant and Wipro.

Overall, I would say that NIT Raipur is a bit lacking in many respects. However, you’ll get a good chance to rise over here because of low competition.
