Connectivity of svnit campus

Likes

Svnit campus is very large and beautiful.
The most lovely thing is that svnit is against to the ragging
The connectivity of svnit campus is very good

Dislikes

The svnit campus is beautiful but not much cleaned
The svnit hostle mess food is ok but not good
There are some restriction for svnit students

Placement Experience:

The placement of svnit is very amazing. Many students are placed in different companies. The placement of my branch is good the avarage package is 8 LPA . The overall placement persentage is 69 parecent in btech and 59 percent in mtech

Svnit campus connectivity

Likes

Svnit hod and faculty members are very experienced and friendly
The most lovely thing is svnit is fully against to the ragging
Svnit campus is located in city therefore connectivity is best

Dislikes

In svnit boys and girls ratio is not much better
Hostels are good but mess food is not much satisfied
Svnit campus and hostels are not well cleaned

Placement Experience:

The placement statistics of svnit is amezing . The highest package offered is 52 LPA. And the packages are verying branchwise .In my branches civil Avg package is 8 LPA and highest package offered is 19 LPA. Svnit overall placement persentage in btech is 65 percent and mtech is 59 percent.

This college library is amazing and very disciplined.
Senior are just like friends and help in every aspect.
No ragging and all the staff are supportive.

Dislikes

This college is too huge and we have to walk alot. Because vehicle is allowed till the main gate only.

Placement Experience:

Yes , our college provides placement with good package. Hence the college maintain the reputation and having rich profile , many company come's every year and giving placement. Few week ago there was a placement in CSE department and some students got 22 LPA package also.and our college highest package is more than 50 lakh per annum.

Reality of Engineering in SVNIT ,Surat

Likes

The atmosphere of the college campus is very good with lots of greenery and clean air.
Every hostel has two seated rooms which is one of best thing and only given in SVINT compaired to any other.
College consist of many technical and non technical student chapter which help in students overall development.

Dislikes

Road are under construction and are improving.
Some buildings are under construction so some areas are dusty.
Time table for class can be improved to provide students more time to work on there personal development.

Placement Experience:

Form 3rd on wards the students are eligible for taking internship and placements ,Companies have there cutoffs for campus placement (approximately 8 CGPA ) . Many Companies like bajaj ,Hitachi, Upl ,Tata ,mesho,Wipro ,other MNCs came for campus placements Percentage of student getting placed according to branch varies like Mechanical engineering ( approx 86%) Computer science engineering (approx 90 %) Electronic engineering (approx 80 %) Chemical engineering (approx 83%)

Real view of svnit

Likes

new education policy , with the help of new education policy you learn about your course in starting of 1st year .
some faculty are teaching skills are good.
hostels are good (excluding 1st year) , girls hostel ek hi hai so voh accha hi hai .

Dislikes

sports facility are not good in comparision to other nit collages .
lab faculties are not good, in the classroom there are no AC availabilty .
health facility are only available for sceduled time like only 7pm and not for sunday.

Placement Experience:

after 4th semester you are eligible for internship then company give the pre placments offer for student . flicart , accenture , tcs , marcedez benz , deloite , jp morgan,goldman sac, oracle and many more . in svnit 52 lacs is the highest pakage . from cs dept 94% student were placed . i am trying to get placment ,after the degree i am join where i get my placment

Likes

Highly qualified faculty with strong research background
Effective placement cell with good placement records
Modern campus amenities, including library ,department ,and labs

Dislikes

Male Female ratio is not that much good.
some buildings and hostel are too old they need reconstruction
delivery boys are not allowed inside campus, we need to pick it up from gate

Placement Experience:

You need to do compulsory two internship one at beginning of third year and other at end of third year to become eligible for placement process. The average salary is around 18 lakh for cse while for ece it's around 15 lpa.

MY LEARNINGS

Likes

The things I like in this college is more free space around us it is a big campus of around 250 akars, and with big Library, Canteen, Clubs and Playground also
Secondly I like more the opportunities I got after coming to this campus according to my studies as well as my cultural activities .
Coming to games Cricket is more played game but by boys and by girls. And tournament will be held every year between NIT colleges.

Dislikes

For now the things I dislike and mostly about the construction that was going on in the campus.
As because of construction the Rood and the department are not very well comfortable and a lot of distraction.

Placement Experience:

About plcements in our campus, My college produces a lot number of placements . Comiing to my department, as non core guy, I too even can placement in software development side. In my course research is more crucial point as I already said before. For more research people are doing PhD's in abord by this campus. This college produce the oppertunity to go and stusy in abroad. MY plan after this degree is to go to research feild and want to contunie my placemnet searching when I am still in my internships.

The College Campus Life is very fantastic Almost all facilities are there. Campus is full of Greenery everywhere
Library is one of the best place of SVNIT campus.
Personally I like the Hostel and Mess facility of svnit

Dislikes

Intime makes difficult for students to go out in night (it is for First year students only after Fresher party intime increase to 10:30 PM)
No auditorium which makes difficult to conduct gathering and convocation
some roads arounds the campus are worst and need to be improved.

Placement Experience:

About Campus Placements In terms of Placements SVNIT is good After 5th semester students can apply for Internships From 4th year onwards students become eligible for campus Placements In 2023 highest Package is of 64 lakh from CS department from my opinion if you have good cgpa (>7.5) then you definitely get a good placements offer Around 70-80% Of each branch students placed yearly rest of them opt for higher studies or other civil examinations.

Honest review of SVNIT

The things I liked about my college are there are many clubs where you can showcase your talent and mentor helps in case of any problem and all the seniors and the expertise are friendly and corporative and there are technical clubs also .
The other thing I loved about my college is its infrastructure and the buildings most of the hostels are good and each department has its own building and their are many labs practical and theoretical labs where you can participate with confidence.
Most of the lectures are done in offline except few of them are held in online and most of the teachers are friendly and very talented you can ask doubt anytime anywhere you want they will not hesitate to say the solution and most of them are fromiit

Dislikes

The things I disliked about the college is about the placement i am not satisfied with the average package of the campus and the companies that are companies many big companies are not coming and if 1 job got them the student is not allowed to other
I also disliked about the career development often there are many clubs but I am not satisfied with those clubs because personal development is not happening in that clubs you can learn new skills but no development is observed in the clubs
The other thing I disliked about the college is social interaction most of the seniors are very strict with the juniors and ragging also taking place without knowing inspite of having anti ragging squad it doesn't function properly and not so strict

Placement Experience:

The semester from which students can become eligible for the campus placement is 5th semester the students are eligible for internships and job recruitment. My plans after getting degree is to start up a company with a small idea and grow it to a huge company The companies came to svnit is - 1.JPMC 2.WELLS FARGO 3.GE HEALTH CARE 4.AMAZON 5.MEESHI 6.ANGEL ONE 7.NAT WEST 8.NSE 9.MATSER CARD 10.VISA 11.NVIDIA 12.NXP SEMICONDUCTOR 13. TCS 14.KPMG 15.DELOITT16.INFOSYS 17.ASIAN PAINTS 18.ADANI GROUP These are the companies visited to svnit Total of 540 btech and 145 mtech are placed in reputed companies and the Highest package -52LPA Average package -10.24 LPA My college has the record of 65% of placements for btech and 60% for the mtech Placement percentage and average and highest package is increased a s compared to the previous year Cse are having good placement as compared to other branches .

A Life at SVNIT

The college is good in neary every aspects. Faculties were very much expert in their respective ares.They used to teach mainly in English and they were very student friendly.
Coming to placement cell, the placement cell of the college was very active.The Training and placement cell of college used to arrange various guest seminars for overall personality development of students.
Course curriculum was designed in a way that student should get maximum of that subject.Every subject labs were there in college with full of equipments.

Dislikes

The Infrastructure of the college is very disappointing ( very low quality infrastructure). Some of the lab equipment are not working.
The non teaching staff sometimes used to behave very rudly.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from 1st sem itself.Companies like John deer ,Bajaj, Mahindra , Akash institute ,Unacademy (Ed tech platform) visited our campus for our branch.For Civil branch , L and T ,Linde,Midas e.t.c companies visited.For electrical and electronics ,HP,Intel,Microsoft e.t.c visited. Highest package offered was Rs 40 lpa. and average package is Rs 6 lpa.Mostly companies are offering role of PGET .Approximate 70% students got placement through campus.I got placed in Unacademy as a educator of NEET physics with a package of Rs 10 lpa.

My review of SVNIT is a mixed one. It is a good choice in almost every aspect other than sports.

For sports enthusiasts, SVNIT is not the right choice. The condition of sports facilities at our college is not good. The sports grounds are not in a good shape. The cricket/football ground becomes a grassland from July to December.

The indoor badminton courts, which are two in number, are immensely insufficient to cater to around 4000 students. Each one has to wait a long time for their turn, and is given around 10 minutes to play the sport. Such a huge number of students can not access the badminton courts for sufficient durations. MMNCT is the best sports event of the year. It is an inter-year cricket tournament that takes place at night. The gym is well designed and has all the modern equipment.

Many classes are boring. But a lot of the professors, especially in the Civil department, teach really well. The marking system is very transparent, and after 15-30 days post the exams, answer sheets are made available for students to have a look. The classrooms are also very school-like in appearance. The rules are lenient, and most teachers are satisfied with a 60% student attendance.

The location is quite good, and malls, theaters, etc. are easily accessible. The campus is located in a posh area of Surat. Places like Mumbai, Daman, etc. are easily accessible for getaways. The placements are top notch, the clubs are plenty and quite decent. The mess food is quite good as well.

Unless you are very serious about getting the best sports facilities, SVNIT is a good college. But for sports facilities, I would recommend you try for MNIT Jaipur.
