the proffesors are the best things in this college the proffesors are well qualified and are having a different mindset of teaching the students
the library is one the best things in the college that i liked the most it is full of books and i think no one need to purchase the books from outside.
the campus area is so big and the greenery is soo much students likes this part very much.

Dislikes

the mess food is the worst thing in the whole college i think nothing is bad than this food
the size of hostel rooms is very small and there is no option of single occupancy.
the classrooms are not soo good according to an NIT college. not good benches not good boards.

Placement Experience:

if i talk about the on campus pacements students are eligible for it in their 6 semester or fourth year. theie are many companies visited svnit campus this year around 153 and very big companies also visited like google, facebook hazira etc. the highest package this year is 44 lakhs p.a and avg. package is around 15 lakhs. around 75 percent students are getting placed every year in the college. i will also prepare for the job to be placed.

Likes

The lush greenery is meticulously maintained , offering a serene and refreshing environment.
Infrastructure of the college is unique and there are separate and well maintained buildings for the different departments
There is no raging in the college that the freshers are expecting from every college

Dislikes

There is no descent seminar / convocation or any good hall that are present in every NIT
improper maintenance of hostels , some of hostels are not well maintend

Placement Experience:

The placements of SVNIT if decent if we talk about average placement10.24 LPA and the highest in the year 2024 is 51 LPA, this year SVNIT recorded 62.57% of students get placed in many reputated companies.

I liked the College Campus a lot , It is a lush green campus with serene nature and wildlife within.
The college is situated in the heart of Surat, It is the prime location and everything is available nearby
Chemical engineering in this college is one of the best in Western India after IITB & ICT , the profs are great , research opportunities are great. overall the branch is 9.5/10

Dislikes

Lack of Infrastructure, The college is under renovation for past 3 years so a lot of construction is going on and around the campus.
Poor maintanence of Hostels. Though the hostels are old and have quite good infra, but they haven't maintained the structure well
The food, although the food in the mess is quite bad , it is very rare to get good food in Mess, specially for Non veg eaters , the prime locations have very less to no options for nonveg. If they exist it is quite expensive

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum set up by our institute is quite apt to the on going changes in Chemical Industry. All of the important topics like MTO, CRE, HTO, FFO are taught to the students on timely basis , specially in their Second and Third year such that they are able to get a broad and better idea when they reach in their Final year of Course. Few improvements which could be done are regarding the labs, More of Software learning based labs need to be arranged , nevertheless most of the faculty try to implement it but due to lack of timings , it eventually doesn't get scheduled. Regarding the exams , few internal assessments are taken Bi Monthly while the Semester Exams occur in a span of 4-5 months. Overall the syllabus and schedule of the Exams are well prescribed. The circullum gives quite freedom to go beyond and learn in depth as per your interests

SVNIT | Brief Overview

Likes

Great exposure to any field you choose be it sports, event management, technical involvement or literature clubs
Faculty are good and focussed on more research oriented process.
Infra is subpar post covid but many sections are under reconstruction and are re-built

Dislikes

Pretty much things were nice and there is not a lot of room to crib about
When in college, it doesn't strike what value it holds.

Placement Experience:

As same as industry standards. Students in 3rd year are eligible for internships and the students in 4th and final year are available for Full time employment. Also, starting this year the college started allowing for last sem as internship for final year that is full 6 months of internship.

My college culture is to good different different state students are come together and celebrate different different festivals
Clubs are one of the most good think in my college they are both types of club are there tecaninal or culture
Faculty is backbone of my college they are very supportive and treat like a son

Dislikes

Infrastructure of college is not good many of the building not renovated till now
Academic are not good they can't listen properly students problem
Hostel is also not good they are not proper cleaning and in the washroom faced water problem

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is average not good but decent pakage get by the students the 50-60% students placed in campus placement after the 6.sem students are eligible to campus placement Average package is 6-7 lakhs and highest is 42 lakhs My plan is placed in campus placement

NITs are among the most esteemed public engineering institution in india after IITs. High quality education distinguished faculty and impressive placement record. The institution balance theoretical and practical application.
100 acre campus at theheart of the city provides state of the art facilities laboratories, libraries research facilities with opportunity to engage in different clubs and organization Sparsh annual cultural fest, Mindbend annual techno managerial IT
Hostel facilities are par with others all equipped with all basic facilities like furniture, internet, sports facility in the hostel common room, television. Mess food is provided in all hostels and quality control is done regularly

Dislikes

Infrastructure is good but not par with the best colleges of indian. Particularly older building and hostel require better maintenance and modernization power shortage some times is pretty bad in hostels
Course work load is high which overwhelmed some students in the starting phase of the college. Some branches have very bad experience when in comes to placement its variable
Administration some times act hurdler process are delayed often some of them are irresponsible but are getting better day by day

Placement Experience:

It has strong performance every year from nearly every branch of the college the average salary is, 10 lpa and the highest is 50lpa notable recruiters are JP Morgan Visa, Texas instrument, Adani, L n T etc..

Parking Facilities are not good Enough.

Placement Experience:

Generally for dual degree, 10th semester(5th year) is the time of placements. Highest package of Physics degree is currently 15.65 Lakh per annum and average is 6.56 lakh per annum. Personal plans is to go in programming sector and avail placement.

My SVNIT is best college and provide best campus life with quality of social interaction and development. campus provide best opportunity to students for their development and improve skills and knowledge.best seminar conduct by college for students.
The faculty's expertise are very highly educated and intelligent they teaching methods is very good and undestabul for each student.They mentorship quality is next level and good because they mentorship quality is very friendly.
The faculty's are supporting to students for their placement journey, placement services and career advancement. College provide good placement opportunities and other higher studies opportunities for all students to get best job.

Dislikes

The quality of infrastructure is good but some building is very old so infrastructure is average not high good but average below. learning facilities is average not very good but average below. And campus facilities are average to bellow.
As my aspects college is average because other NITs is better than Svnit. Because sometimes some faculty members technology teaching methods is very average to bad because they provide pressure on the students.
The campus is very Big around 250 acres but campus management and infrastructure is not highly good. As my opinion college re construct their campus infrastructure and campus management so on.

Placement Experience:

College placement is very good because the average package is around 10-11 LPA. The students are eligible for campus placement in the 7th semester. There are many companies that visit our college in the placement session. The company names are Reliance, Oracle, Nayara, ONGC, etc. The highest and average package depends upon the company and also the students quality. But this year students get 18.45 LPA as the highest package in the Reliance industry, and 10 LPA is the average package. In this year, 108 students are appearing in the placement session, and around 92 students are getting placements. So 89% of students are getting placements this year. My plan after getting the degree is to prepare for the SSC CGL exam and get a government job. Because my dream is always helping in our nation and country, I decided to prepare for this exam.

Likes

The way of teaching by the proffesors are very good.
Library facilities are awesome includes huge number of books.
Transpotation facility by bus is so helpful while going to class.

Dislikes

Food in mess is not up to the mark and taste in not good.
Wifi connection is not that good in hostels
Department Facilities are not up to the mark

My review of SVNIT is a mixed one. It is a good choice in almost every aspect other than sports.

For sports enthusiasts, SVNIT is not the right choice. The condition of sports facilities at our college is not good. The sports grounds are not in a good shape. The cricket/football ground becomes a grassland from July to December.

The indoor badminton courts, which are two in number, are immensely insufficient to cater to around 4000 students. Each one has to wait a long time for their turn, and is given around 10 minutes to play the sport. Such a huge number of students can not access the badminton courts for sufficient durations. MMNCT is the best sports event of the year. It is an inter-year cricket tournament that takes place at night. The gym is well designed and has all the modern equipment.

Many classes are boring. But a lot of the professors, especially in the Civil department, teach really well. The marking system is very transparent, and after 15-30 days post the exams, answer sheets are made available for students to have a look. The classrooms are also very school-like in appearance. The rules are lenient, and most teachers are satisfied with a 60% student attendance.

The location is quite good, and malls, theaters, etc. are easily accessible. The campus is located in a posh area of Surat. Places like Mumbai, Daman, etc. are easily accessible for getaways. The placements are top notch, the clubs are plenty and quite decent. The mess food is quite good as well.

Unless you are very serious about getting the best sports facilities, SVNIT is a good college. But for sports facilities, I would recommend you try for MNIT Jaipur.
