NIT Hamirpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I am in first year so obviously I am not eligible for placements ,but because I am in hermetically club,the technical club of my department chemical branch so I am informed about my seniors and their campus placements. One of my senior got placement of 6400000?.this package is the highest for my branch but average branch is around 7to 8 lakh per annum

The campus placements are going with a mix of good and bad news. Students which had really good skill set found there way to bang big packages but average and below average students found them struggling as the ongoing recession and mass recruiters not recruiting new recruits this year. The highest package was 1.7 Crore. The companies which visited the campus include LatentView, Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd., Cisco, Escorts Cubota Ltd., Genpack, Renata Precision, Microchip Technology Inc., Bajaj Finserv, Technip Energies,etc. .

In the final year I will be I will be eligible for campus placements Some companies such as Infosys TCS Dell The highest package of our college is 1.7 CR and the average package is 15 lakh per annum The percentage of the students which get placed or about 85 to 90% in every branch My plan is to get placed in my dream company such as Google

7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. No. Of comapanies are good enough like Samsung Google etc percentage placement is 90% with 97% in computer science highest package for cse was 1.5crore .

PLACEMENT ACROSS CAMPUS IS GOOD , VARIOUS TECH AND CORE COMPANIES VISIT THE CAMPUS INCLUDING AMAZON , DELOITTE , TCS , INFOSYS, WIPRO ETC . THERE ARE VAROUS INTERSHIP OPPORTUNITY ARE ALSO PROVIDED THROUGH CAMPUS AND MANY GUEST LECTURES AND WORKSHOP ARE REGULARLY BEING ORGANIZED

For Campus Placements students become eligible form 7th semester.Campus placements start generally from the month of October and continues till May.Companies in IT sector like Wells Fargo, Orcale, Cisco, latent view etc. visit. For core branches like civil, mechanical, electrical companies like Afcons, L&T, Renata precision, Escorts Kubota etc. visit.Talking to the highest package which was offered was 52 lakhs per annum last year.Average package in our college is from 8.5lakhs to 9lakhs.Number of students getting placed each year are about 75 to 85 percent.Campus placements are generally held in two to three rounds. First one is aptitude and other one is technical and HR interview. Students getting shortlisted in aptitude round are eligible to sit in interview round.My plans after getting degree is to do a decent job in core company and to clear GATE exam. After GATE exam one can join PSU's also.

For first year you will be feel some problems with course as being a cse student studying chemistry and physics make you feel bad .So may be you will feel bad but in perspective of engineering it is good as you get basic knowledge of all engineering courses

The course consists of basic understanding and application of various electronics amd communication device. The curriculum is divided into semester.There are 8 sem in a ug degree.Exams are conducted at the end of each semester.

New course curriculum of new education policy is good but passing marks due to it is greater than earlier but drg like subject are not that much essential and mechanical workshop is quite good and very interesting

Our college had 1.2 Cr and 1.5 crore package in past by cs branch students. We also have 32 or 64 lakh packages although less n. O. Of student get this high packages. Microsoft company don't reach our college as transportation is a bit weak. Average package is around 12-13 lakh per annum. For ca branch placement percwntage is above90 percentage which is less for lower branchea. After getting degree i will work for a placement of above 24 lakh pee annum
