NIT Hamirpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Placement of our college is quite good and we are eligible from 3rd year to apply for inside campus internship and placement. One of the comanies name Honda recently visited and selected about 10 candidates. I currently don't know the exact highest and average package Approximately 84% students placed every year My plan is to get a job ain the technical field

Course curriculum is very good. Course is designed as real world application. Like they teach us about chemical composition that is industry Oriented. Projectors are attached in classrooms . There are two semester in a year

Course curriculum is very good.it is based on real world application. As new education policy is introduced new courses are also introduced this year like business management subject and environmental. Areas of improvement that teachers be more friendly

Curriculum here is quite old and being followed from a long time but for the upcoming batch it has been changed quite a bit including more modern subjects instead of trivial ones. Exams are held 2 times in a semester mid-sem(30) and end-sem(50) and 20 marks are given for internals YES which includes attendance also...

B.tech is one of the most difficult course as per my knowledge and it requires a lot of hard work for continuous 4 years. But this course had a lot of assignments and practical file writing which is meaningless. There should be more practical knowledge than Theory should be tought. We don't have much time between semester. But difficulty level are not so hard.

Placement scenerio is same as the other nit colleges like highest package goes about 1cr and lowest will be 6lpa and median is. About 9lpa and overall an average placement of 13lpa . Percentage of students getting placed is 85 percent but Barch and engineering physics has lower placement in this college. Many of the student went for higher studies .my plan is to get placed after the completion of degree.

The placements at NIT hamirpur are not very good compared to other top Government Engineering colleges. However the students of top branches like CSE, ECE have been able to avail good packages both inside and outside the campus.

From the seventh semester students become eligible for campus placement. Tata , oracle and mostly tech companies come here. Highest package offered was nearly 58 lpa. 80% of students were placed. Sitting for the placements ismy plan while some pepare for gye exams.

Placements in college are really good specifically for the students of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science Engineering. When student enter his/her 7th semester, he is eligible for placements. For Computer Science and Engineering, companies like CRED, Deloitte, Samsung, Reliance Jio visits the campus. All time highest package was 1.73 crore in the year 2022-23. Around 690 students out of 952 were placed with the percentage of 72.65% Average package was 12.74 Lakh.

Placement is quite good ot totally depends on how hard are u willing to work and you efforts so us ethe 4 years properly on yourself. And also try to learn as many new things as possible. Work on your communication skills too
