Overall the faculty at nit srinagar is good they provide us with good study material and they have average speaking skills we can understand their lectures easily jsnsnjdjdhdhshshhsjsjshhshshshshshshhshshshshhshshshshshshhshshdh
It has a beautiful campus and the best facilities the library has a huge amount of books and has free wifi speed like 100mbps.
In nit srinagar campus placement is very good many companies visit and they offer good packages highest packages in our college is 40-50 lpa that is good and many companis like tata hcl visits out college

Dislikes

Placements are very poor as only 20-30% students get placed with an average package of 6lpa!
Rapid development must has to present here which feels bad about this college.
There are no oncampus internships you have to find one your own and let college know about it.they put restrictions on everything and no proper leave is given for the internship facilities mentor you correctly and guide you

Wish i would know before joining nit srinagar

Likes

The teaching staff, infrastructure, the innovative environment
Interaction with students from other states.
The ideas and the innovations that college stress about.

Dislikes

The hostels cooling system especially in summers.
The mess menu is sometimes not good enough.
The drainage system there get blocked with little bit of rain.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements just after 5th semester. The companies that mostly visit here are Tata, Mahindra, nvidia, infosys, Samsung, vedanta, autodesk etc. The highest package last year was 39 lpa offered by autodesk and average package is nearly 1000000. Placement rates are really nice. Last year mechanical engineering had placement rates of 141 percent. And other branches too above 100 percent. I have planned to sit in the placement sessions and grab some good placement.

Very natural environment with lot of lush green campus
Teachers are highly qualified. having lot of experience
Good senior- junior interaction. very helpful

Dislikes

Placements are not as good as they should be
Lot of restrictions for girls especially
Less campus area about 64 acres only.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. civil engineering average placement package is 10-12 lpa. highest package was 39 lpa for cse in 2024. Highest package for civil was 18-19 lpa.. would be better in upcoming years

Beautiful college on heaven on earth (NIT SRINAGAR)

Beautiful campus nature mountains weather
Friendly people good environment and kashmir culture
Helping nature of staffs and good conectivity

Dislikes

Here i could not understand kashmiri language
I like snow but i do not like xtreme cold here
I do not like kashmir food and heavy rain

Placement Experience:

good placements offers after the third pre placements offer started Jindal Steel Vipro some PSU companies jio etc. approx 75 percent of students placed this year i want to do MTech after my btech degree.

It is really paradise on Earth.Good environment.
People here are really nice,helping very .
Airport is only around few km away from college

Dislikes

hostel facilites not good as per the reputation of college.
have to maintain 75% attendence for being able to sit in the examination
6 students in one room and less washroom .

Placement Experience:

Mostly fourth year student are eligible for campus placements ,companies like indian oil ,NTPC ,NVIDIA ,,VEDANTA,GOOGLE etc give lot of offers to the students.RS 39lakhCTC in year 2024 and average of rs 10lakh .

Nit Srinagar college in heaven

Likes

I like the faculties members, because they are well qualified and have deep understanding of their subjects
I like the sports facilities provided by the college
Clean and calm environment of college is best for preparation of competitive exam

Dislikes

Sometime mess food is not good on special festivals
There is less seat capacity in library for students
Interaction between senior and junior are Less

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year students are eligible for campus placement. Wipro , HPCL , ONGC , TCS , NTPC , Highest package is 35 lakhs and average package for civil engineering is 8 lakhs . Approx 50%students got placed every year . I will opt for ENGINEERING SERVICE EXAMINATION .

Teachers are highly qualified and very helpful to the students.
Campus is very beautiful as it is surrounded by the mountains
Places nearby the college are very beautiful and seems like tourist destination

Dislikes

Campus size is too small it is only 67 acres
It far away from my home nearly 2000 kms
Placements are not too good the average placement is nearly 10-12 lpa

Placement Experience:

Students from 6th or 7th semester are eligible for campus placements. There are many companies that visits the like Google, Microsoft, Wipro, TCS, Physics Wallah etc. Nearly 80% of students get placed during campus placements.

Climatic conditions around the valley with good accomodation
Higly educated faculty for academic excellence
Cool and freindly seniors with a very helpful nature

Dislikes

Bad Tap water quality for household purpose
Little less placement opportunity for core braches compared to it sector
Improper road and draingae within the campus

6th semester onwards students are eligible for Placement opportunities Vedanta lnt ashok leyland for core branches oracle nvedia and other software companies for it sector Highest package offered on campus was 39lpa for cse branch Approximately 80% students gets placed from the students who apply For me i will give gate exam for opportunities and will be heading towards it sector for on campus placement

Best college among good colleges

Likes

The playground and the athletic court and tracks
The beauty of campus and the people in colleger are good.
staff is very good and coordination with staff is good

Dislikes

Everything in college is very non secular
Roads in campus are in very poor condition

Course Curriculum Overview:

There should be a proper laboratory for every subject we learn. And the laboratory should be situated in respective departments. so that students could go to the lab and they should not feel any frustration while going to learn something creative

Faculty is very highly qualified helpful all have done Phds from top IITs
Faculties help u in getting internships,placements and also at emotional level
I liked the beauty of the campus it is covered by the mountains which makes it a scenic spot in winters it looks even more beautiful

Dislikes

Campus is quite small only compare to other nits only 67 acres that didnt please me much
Although no restrictions are imposed but if protests are going out outside u won't be allowed to go out of campus but nowadays we rarely get to see protests
Placements particularly in lower branches is not that good around 10lpa

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem students become eligible for placements Companies which recruit from civil: L&T-85 IOCL-45 VIPRO-80 TCS-73 HCC-58 These all are campus placements Highest package-19.8lpa Average package-19Lpa Almost 80%students got placed

Likes

The campus is fully secured and surround by Dal lake
We will enjoy the snow falling here and we enjoy nature
One of the premier education ins in north region

Dislikes

Street food is one of the major dislike i feel
there auto fare ans other transportation fare is very high

Placement Experience:

The placement statistics in 2023 the total job offers for all courses is around 724 and the total students are 668. The comanies visited in our clg are Relience,HP, Indian Oil,HCL , Honda , Mahindra etc. the percentage of getiing placements is 85%. my plans after getting the degree is get a job in good company.
