IIT Dhanbad Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Generally, there are internships in the 5th or 6th semester and many companies provide on-campus placements in the 7th and 8th semester for 4-year B.tech students. The highest offer was around 90 lakhs offered to a computer science student. the percentage is a fair 90%. Over the years the placements in the college have seen gradual growth and thus the opportunities are rising.

The first year is common for all students and there is no choice. We have 2 semesters and according to that half of students exchange their subjects after 1 sem. The faculty students ratio is also good. Teaching methods are also unique for some members and normal for others.

I think you already know that placements are good if it's an IIT. I don't know much about placements but just today, 8-10 of my seniors got offered a package of 25lakhs/ annum. Additional details can be found in the mailer-daemon app available on the google play store.

The placements are very good. We are eligible for campus placements in the 6th semester. There is various company visited such as cairn, eswar, etc. And also various PSU also comes to campus for direct recruitment such as ONGC, OIL, etc.

So the placements are one thing you shouldn't care about. Being in IIT people always get placed with high packages in good companies. People here come to develop their personality get in civil services. There is no problem with placements or internships. This year's highest package was offered by Bloomberg to two CSE seniors about 90-80 lakhs. The average package is about 10 lakhs.

Most placements take place for fourth-year placements and there are also replacements. Approximately till now, 144 companies visited our campus and more than 650 students got placed. There are even foreign placements and 90 lakhs is the highest paid on our campus till now. This placement is from a company in London. More than 120 students got above 25 lakhs package.

I have a keen interest in the technological field. So I optes for the computer science branch in this institute. Faculty : student ratio is approx 1: 9. This is enough to clear our doubts and solve any problem we face during the academic calendar. The teachers here are highly qualified. 80% teachers having PHD degree makes a good teaching environment and the teaching methods are also good. Credits to the well equipped labs and workshops rooms. The exams were conducted on time and the difficuly level to pass them was not too high. It is a bit tough but the overall ciriculum and teaching make it easy to pass these exams.

After 3rd Year, Students become eligible for Campus placement. AMAZON, GOOGLE, TATA, + 15 more companies come and visits. Minimum offered price = 6 LPA The average is 12lakh. 80% of students of the Core branch get placed. After my college degree, I am looking for Campus placement.

The future prospects, as most of the seniors were=e placed then. Huge chances to get a geophysicist job, it becomes now a myth. Actual scenario has changed as nobody is recruiting . Most of the students are applying for PhD, who don't want to do.

A number of companies visit our college every year. The majority of the high-paying companies mostly include IT companies like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, etc. Placement in the core sector is also good but, not as good as the IT sector and this is the case with every college in India. But, I can definitely say that its core placement is good especially for the earth science branches, better than most of the colleges! Many students also go abroad for higher studies in prestigious universities of the world.
