IIT Dhanbad Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Well talking about placements, then on-campus placements are good. Even off-campus are good. Most of the students get placed at some of the best companies in their field. Some students go for civil services. The average package is 15lac/annum, and the highest for the year 2021 was 88lac/annum.

Placements. By the word placement to the students, it brings spark in the eyes to achieve something. And placements at ISM are great and this year many of our seniors got placed in the top tech companies with a better package. Branch-wise placements are also great even in the lower branches as well. This year's placements are a far way better or I would rather say that a better package compared to the earlier years. Students are eligible for campus placements by the end of the third year or the start of 4th year. A good percentage of placements are being made and in the upcoming year we can expect to have a rise in the percentage of placements taken. I have not yet planned what I would do whether it would be a job or continue to have further studies.

Campus placements are held for the final year students every year by the placement cell of IIT ISM. Various companies offer jobs to the students. The percentage of placement varies as per the branch. The CSE branch has the highest placement percentage while the CIVIL branch has the lowest.

Recently, 2 students of the computer science engineering branch were placed with 90 and 81 LPA. So placement is good for every branch. Besides that, we have internship opportunities and research scope as well.

The 7th semester for BTECH and the 9th semester for integrated MTECH students are available for on-campus placements. There are 100+ companies visit and being an IIT, the minimum package offered is 6 lakh. The highest placement of this year is 90 lakh per annum. The placement statistics are quite good and likely high priority of students to get placed. Since it is founded in 1926, it has a strong alumni network. Computer science departments and coding included curriculum get placed easily. It is hard for non-coding branches and extremely hard for average and below-average students in it. But off-campus placements and companies open to all branches provide some hope. Some of our alumni are studying in top university like Standford. My plans are getting a job or going into higher studies, any one of them. Also, many of our alumni have cleared GATE, UPSC etc exams with flying colours. There is absolutely not 100% placement but it's quite good especially in some branches.

From the 6th semester onwards students are eligible for on-campus placements. Many major companies offer placements in the college. This year's highest packages were 80 and 90 lakhs, and 94 students were placed on campus.

The students are eligible for internships from the 2nd year onwards. Being an IIT, the placements are very good and over 150 companies visit the campus. The placement percentage is about 80% with branches like CSE, ECE having almost 100% placements. The highest packages are as high as 90 lakhs.

Placement reports are really good with mech highest package being around 18L(for on campus) for core field whereas overall has been 90LPA. All top companies around the globe do recruit from our campus. My personal plan is to set up my own venture if not will try for a job in some MNC especially in the energy and automation field.

When it comes to placement, one should not doubt at IIT Dhanbad. Every branch gets a good average package. Infact this year from IIT Dhanbad two seniors got a very high package around 81 lakhs. After getting a degree,I want my first job at a good company with a good package

The placements are good. There is a great ratio of students who got placed and many well-named companies like google Microsoft and others recruit bachelors. They got very good Placements it depends on their CGPA and other skills. The average package is around 15-20 lakhs The highest package of 2021 was 90 lakhs. There is a great percentage of students who got placed.
