Academic pressure is the major issue of this college.
Marks oriented study to a sheet in Placement.

Placement Experience:

From 5th sem. students are eligible for campus placement. TATA,JSW, Jindal steel, Atlassian,Amazon,Hindustan unilever etc. Highest package is 83 LPA and average is 6-7 LPA. Around 90 % students get their Placement every year.

I am thrilled to share my experience at NIT Jamshedpur, where my engagement with campus life was nothing short of exceptional.
It's really easy to meke friends here and the seniors are very supportive as well. Apart from seniors the faculty members are also very supportive
The placement opportunities provided by the college are exceptional. The college has a strong track record of placing students in reputable companies

Dislikes

The quality of infrastructure is one of the area where our college could improve.
The diversity you expect from a college, you'll not get here I mean most of the students will be either from Bihar or Jharkhand.
The course curriculum is not that tough, you'll get a lot of time with you. But the college doesn't support innovation a lot

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities of our college is fantastic. About 98 percent of our college students where placed last year. The maximum CTC was 83.40 LPA. And the average CTC was about 16 LPA. I think our college has the best placement stats if you compare it to a college with a similar rank.

Realities of NIT Jamshedpur

Likes

Firstly, is the DJLHC or The Diamond Jubilee Lecture Hall Complex, the place where all classes and events takes place. It's fully air conditioned and lecture hall is quite large having capacity of about 150 students. Also there are some virtual rooms
Second is the Up's where we have badminton, tennis, basketball and volleyball court and also an open gym.
Next is hostels its among one of the colleges that rarely provides single room from second year of course its the beat thing.

Dislikes

Open campus, its not a closed campus there is a small village behind college whose entry and exit is through college main gate
Infrastructure is not well maintained you will see tall tall grasses along pathway which are not properly trimmed

Placement Experience:

Placements here are outstanding almsost 97-98 students gets placed every year and talking of my branch that is mechanical the placement record is 100% in last two years. Few students do not participate in placement program as they choose to study ahead and go for their Masters degree

Honest And Unbiased Review

The main Lecture Hall Complex is top notch as it has all centralised AC and projectors, mic in each class
Hostels are too good, facilities are provided very well, we get single occupancy from second years itself,
Faculties are very enthusiastic in teaching and all classes run very well, teachers are cooperative with students

Dislikes

Water facilities are the main problem in hostels during summer time
Sports facilities are limited and no coaches are provided
There is very less investment on greenery Maintance

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placement in 7th semester. The average placement of the college was 16 LPA in 2023 and average placement of Production and industrial Engineering branch was 11.27 LPA in 2023. The companies like Tata motors , Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, JSW, Deloitte and many more company allow Production and industrial engineering branch

Likes

Placement opportunities in every branch is good and enough offers come for the recruitment.
Academic culture is good as some professor are very helpful.
There are many clubs and societies present in the college which helps to increase your leadership skills and communication skills.

Dislikes

The land provided by the central government is not used beneficially as maximum land is not utilised till now..
There is no Auditorium present in the college.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in NIT Jamshedpur. From the 4th year of Btech, students become eligible for campus placement. There are many companies that have recruited from our college like L&T, Adani, O9 Solutions, etc About 90% of students have been placed in the college.

Likes

College environment is good. Every students here are helpful and future oriented.Most of the Professors are friendly and ready to help.Seniors are also helpful. There is respect between seniors and juniors here. 75% attendance is compulsory here .
Campus Life is okay okay. You will not find campus Life of this NIT that good.
College infrastructure is good. Classrooms are fully AC and top notch. Labs are old but in upcoming years they are going to make new labs.Hostels are also good. Library is there and also playground for different sports.

Dislikes

Course curriculum and most of the professor. They will give you tons of work that has no use and award you less marks.
Campus is not that attractive.you will not find everything.
Mess food is worst. They will give you variety of food but the quality is worst.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year placement process starts . Placement stats are good here. More than 95 %+ students placed every year. Big companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Atalassian, Flipkart come here. I personally want to take part in placement. I have no plan for higher degree for now .

The things I liked in this college is they appreciate your ideas.
I like the fests conduct by college like OJASS (technical fest) and CULFEST (cultural fest).
The seniors of this college are very supportive.

Dislikes

I don't like the open campus Facility. Anyone can roam inside this campus.
I don't like the infrastructure because it is old.

The placement of this college is very good. from 6th semester students getting internships and many of them got PPO. Companies visited like Atlassian, Deloitte, LNT, Microsoft etc. The average package is about 15lac per year and the Highest package in 2023 was 83lac per annum. In 2023 approximately 98% of students placed. my plans after getting a degree to doing job in a multinational company.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement. Companies like atlassian, Wells Fargo and many other big companies comes for campus placement. higjest package as of now is 83 lpa by atlassian and average package overall is 14 lpa. In 2023 total percentage of placed student was 99%.

Placements are quite well here the highest package for computer science department was 83 lakhs per annum with an average of 27lpa . Placements of various core branches are also other than many tier 1 universities
Seniors are supportive ,they will guide in your campus life as well as in coding.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of this collage is not at like nit, you have only lecture hall and hostels and nothing.
Campus life is soo boring here . you only have a single playground with no gym.

I liked the class rooms are well equipped with both black and white board and with a projector they give good environment and they are central air conditioned
The campus is greeny with full of trees and the distance between lecture hall and hostels is also not that far it is quite comfortable
Sports,technical and cultural clubs are good and well maintained

Dislikes

Hostels for girls is not that good .A room is shared with 3 members so better keep expectation low
Food is not that satisfactory at the same time not that bad also
As it is an open campus few restrictions are to followed

Course Curriculum Overview:

In an year there are 2 mis sems and 2 end sems you can more time before end sem but the gap between mid sem end sem is small . Cg is not relative according to you grade cg is give so it depends on what you write and also the correction of the particular professor In josaa councelling i got this particular course nothing special in choosing this course

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.

Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.

Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.

Academics

The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
