Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .

Dislikes

In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

Architecture of the nitc working future success

Likes

The college life was very nice and clubs will teach lot of things and campus will tell so many things about good and bad
Faculties are so good they teach lot of things about life and future journey. Faculties are more important in engineering college
Infrastructure of the college will be very nice and this course have so many field trips and fun with friends

Dislikes

There is no dislike about college and campus life, the dislike thing was some cantine have less food and high cost
The placements are not there for this course the less placement will take place like 4 lakhs per annum this was so poor in architecture branch

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like to construct buildings with a variety of designs and there will be more use in the future. In this course, the building construction will be told very clearly. The student ratio is there will be one class around 50 to 60 students will be there, in this the majority was girls. The faculties are so nice and their teaching will be more useful for future projects and constructions. The teacher will give so much knowledge about the design of old buildings and the history of the material used in construction. The time between exams will be one and a half months there will be mid and end-sem exams will be there and there will be a section where you need to show all your sem projects in college. The exams will be some are difficult and some are easy

The fest in the college which were amazing
The syllabus was changed pretty frequency according to Gate and placements requirements
The teacher in the campus were very skilled and patient

Dislikes

The long procedure to be followed to get approval for any thing
The attendance requirement which is 80% .
The food here is not that much good . Unless you are from Kerala

Placement Experience:

From semester 5 you are eligible for campus placements, there is a cut-off of 7.5 CGPA to sit in the placement drive conducted by the college, and you should not have any active backlog at that time. more than 267 companies were visited during placements in 2023. Which include Samsung, Deloitte, TCS, Accenture, and IBM a total of 759 offers were made. The average package is 9.8 lpa and median is 10.8 lpa.

Life of nit Calicut - life was up and downs

The faculties are very nice they teach very well in the clg and also there will be teach how to reach your goals, they will provide all types of ideas
Placement in the campus will be very nice and we can get the more information fro. The infra structure and courses are also so use

Dislikes

Some faculty were given the punishment without any reason and gave sem backs

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem you can apply for placements and from 5th sem you can apply for internship in clg . There are so many companies visit our clg like reliance ,Wipro, tata and so on they will give the more offers like the companies will recruit around 5 to 12 members from clg from each campus there will be more information and companies visit. The highest package is 60lakh per annum and average package was the 12 lakh per annum the profile offered was Google. The percentage of students getting job was very high like 95 percentage . My plan after my degree I want to go like defence sector In india and like to work with missiles

Placement Experience:

In Nitc students become eligible for campus placement from 6th semester. There are a lot of companies that visited Nitc in that there are L&T, hp, Wipro, Goldsman Sach, etc. The highest CTC of INR 67.62 LPA was offered during NIT Calicut Placements 2022.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible for campus placements from their seventh semester of study. However, eligibility criteria may vary by company and course. Salesforce, Intuit, Oracle, Sprinkler, DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, and Amazon to name a few. The list is long. I have the entire pdf, which you can get via mailing me at ipranavprashant@gmail.com The percentage of students getting placed can vary from year to year and from course to course. NITS generally have a good placement record, with a significant portion of eligible students securing job offers. More than 90% in my opinion. Securing a good on-campus placement, and maybe an MBA after a couple of years of work experience.

NIT Calicut is best College for South Indian

The campus is totally lush green Campus and its is very loving in nature

Placement Experience:

The placement percentage of the overall branch is 89.54%. For Computer Science students, Electrical and Electronics students are almost 100%. The average placement of the CSE is 25.63 Lpa, ECE is 19.62 Lpa.

My Experience at NIT Calicut: A journey of learning and growth

Likes

NITC Campus location is very great, attached to nature.
It is known for its academic programs, especially in engineering.
It has vibrant student life with various clubs, societies and cultural events.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of some of the buildings are very old.
Academic pressure is there for some students.
For some students, the cost of education can be a concern.

Placement Experience:

From what I know, students become eligible for campus placements from their 7th semester onwards. The placements at NIT Calicut are quite good, with a lot of top companies visiting the campus every year. Some of the companies that visited the campus recently include Amazon, Microsoft, Google, IBM, TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, and many more. The number of offers made by these companies varies each year, but on average, around 80-90% of students get placed. The highest package offered last year was around 40 LPA, while the average package offered was around 10-12 LPA.

My amazing experience at NIT Calicut

The campus life is amazing and I have the opportunity to meet many new people from different backgrounds.
The faculty is knowledgeable and always willing to help.
The location is very beautiful, attached to nature.

Placement Experience:

The placements at NIT Calicut are quite good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards. Many top companies visit the campus every year, offering a wide range of job profiles to the students. Some of the top companies that visit the campus are Amazon, Google, Microsoft, IBM, Infosys, TCS, and Wipro. The number of offers made by these companies varies from year to year. The highest package offered at NIT Calicut is around Rs. 40-50 lakhs per annum and the average package is around Rs. 12-14 lakhs per annum. The packages offered by different companies depend on the profile they are offering and the skills of the students. Around 85-95% of the students get placed every year, which is quite impressive. After getting the degree, I can either opt for higher studies or start my career with the job offers I get.

The college life was too good and environment was cool
Placements are too much good for cse ece and eee students

Dislikes

Food was not good because it is fully made up of cocunut oil.

I chose this course as I have an interest in electronics and coding and the faculty-student ratio is around 1:50. all the teachers here phd holders and they teach very well exams are conducted two times a year and you need to work hard to pass those exams.

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-

The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.

NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
