Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .

Dislikes

In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

NIT Calicut Experience

Placement Experience:

The college offers one of the best CSE programme placements. The college has a perfect placement rate. The college placement council is extremely helpful; they guide us through the entire placement process. Our batch's highest package was around 40 LPA, and the average salary offer was around 10.75 LPA. During the placement drive, companies such as Accenture, Amazon, Bajaj Auto, CGI India, Capgemini, Big Basket, DE Shaw, Microsoft, Google, and Samsung visited our campus.

A soothing experience in NIT Calicut

Placement Experience:

Mercedes Benz, OLA Mobility, and other major recruiters visited the campus. The following are the significant highlights of the placement drive. The First-time recruiters were Adani Enterprises Ltd, OLA Mobility, Mercedes Benz, Traceable then these companies became major partner in this. The placement in increased around 70% from record of last year. Packages are starting from 8 LPA.

The college provides good placement packages and the college placement is as per the industrial standards and good opportunities are provided to us. The college placement committee plays a very crucial role as the committee is very dedicated and the plus point of the committee is that they are aware of your interest and they totally help us to get selected in good companies. The highest package for our batch was around 28 LPA and the average salary package was around 10.75 LPA.

How I got into NIT-Calicut for MBA

Placement Experience:

In addition to Deloitte, Canara Bank, South Indian Bank, OYO, Berger, TCS, HDFC Bank, and Coal India, a number of other recruiters participated in the final placement program. The highest salary package offered was Rs.67.6 LPA and an average salary of Rs.10.75 LPA was offered in our final placement program. The case study analysis, attending the alumni talks, participating in workshops, seminars helped me in the time of compassing. I did not join any job because I had decided to prepare for the civil service exam.

Life @ NIT - Amazing Experience!

Course Curriculum Overview:

Frankly speaking, for my rank I had only two options - NIT - Calicut -Civil, or Electrical in our local private college. My dream was to study in an institution of repute to gain better exposure, not only in studies but overall personality development. So, I took this decision. Faculties were highly qualified and experts in their areas. They followed practical teaching methods blended with theory, making complex topics, interesting and easy-to-understand. Exams were semester-based, so four years courses had 4x2= 8 semesters, each having 6-7 subjects. Exams required a lot of preparation and dedicated effort to secure good marks.

CAMPUS LIFE IN NITC

Placement Experience:

The placements of our campus are good. The total percentage of students who placed from our branch is 73.63. The highest package offered was 27 LPA, the lowest was 4.2lpa and the average package was 7.73lpa. Some top companies like bajaj, exxonmobil, seimens, tech Mahindra, etc offer jobs from our branch.

Superb college life one should experience

Placement Experience:

Placements are super. From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements.placement percentage is nearly 70%. The highest package offered is 30 LPA and the average is 7-8 LPA. The top companies visited in our mechanical branch are tech Mahindra, siemens, Bajaj auto etc.

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-

The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.

NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
