I choose Metallurgy and materials engineering because It is good in VNIT nagpur being an old college it has also good exposure and placement is also Some how good. If I talk about my college student ratio is like other engineering colleges and in my class also there is 1 girl per 7 boys . Talking about the faculty of my college , they are very good and nice. Some Professor recently in world's top 2% scientist. There have two exam in a semester that is mid sem and end sem.

From 4th year i.e. 7th semester you can sit in campus placements which will be held offline and online. In Chemical Engineering, From 60 job offers 56 students got placed in campus placements with the highest package of 16.98 LPA and an average package of 9.72 LPA. The percentage of students placed is 67.47%. Companies visited are HPCL, BPCL, IOCL, ONGC, Tata Steels, ITC, etc.

The course is well equipped with latest methodologies ensuring that student gains entire knowledge necessary for the industry, which made me to choose this course . Although I would suggest some courses in the first year are not needed at all like social science , mechanical wirkshop . Evaluations includes mid semester examination and an end semester examination . Quizes are also a part of evaluation although their frequency entirely depends upon the course coordinator and is not fixed. Entire paper is based on the notes of proffesor so if you have attended the lectures well, you will find paper level easy .

Generally internship on campus companies start coming on the start of 3rd year and for placements it starts after 3rd year. Internships are a bit difficult to crack if you are trying on campus. Companies like BPCL and HPCL has visited took students with packages for 16 17 lakhs. highest package offered was 34 lakhs 2023 average package goes to 9lakhs since recession period is taking so companies hiring and salary gone down, but around 70 to 80 % people got placed. ITC take a good amount of students offering a package of 10 to 12 lakhs. they give internship oppurtunities also and give ppo, depending on your performance. Fractal Analaysis, Delloite, Goldmann sachs other companies. My plan is to try for off campus or on campus job in consulting.

college placemets are good . different departemets have different placement stats like CSE has an average placement of around 15lakh+ .college provides placement in your 4th year of engineering .college average placement are about 7-8lakhs . highest package is 68lpa of cse /ece . placement % of top branches are almost 95% but for lower branches its like around 75-80%.

For our branch specifically we have 100 % placement the companies like L&T, TCE, SPCL and many more multinational companies visit our college. Wherever in any NIT the avg package for this branch is 6LPA.

Campus placement is good as almost every student remember my point if every student who studies half of that they studied for JEE then he gets very good placement . now as you want stats then avg packge is 10.3 LPA and highest packge is 64 LPA to some students by Oracle. avg packge for CSE was 17 lpa , highest was 53 lpa avg packge for ECE was 15 lpa , highest was 64 lpa

There placements in campus almost 70 percentage of every branch people got placement offers , more than 150 compines visited the campus . And hired many students The highest packages are 64lpa CTC and lowest is 5.30lpa.

The placements in this college ade descent.The average package is 10LPA, students from 3rd year are eligible for the placements.Most of the students get descent packages.The highest package is 84LPA by CSE department.Some students opt for higher studies like M.TECH or MSC
