- Strong faculty: vssut is reputed for its experienced faculty members who are often experts in their respective fields.
- The college also organises fest which also is a good source of enjoyment and bliss.
- Campus employment opportunities are quite good.vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.
Dislikes
- Hostel facilities are not so good and the food is also of low quality which is very difficult to eat.
- The hostel and mess. there is corruption in the mess. the mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
- The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. this could have been better.

- Sometimes food quality is being the disturbed one.
Placement Experience:
From the 7th semester, Students become eligible for placements.
Many companies visit here. Around 800 offers are offered by companies.
The previous year's highest package was 47 lpa and the lowest was around 3.6 lpa.
Around 95% of students get placed with quite decent packages.
I have a plan for gate preparation.

- In vssut Hostel are 500m away from the college

Course Curriculum Overview:
Institutionally vssut is one of the best college for a student because it has the best educational curriculum and has highly qualified faculty.
• I choose to persuing my BTECH as Mechanical branch because I have great interest in mechanics and cars.
• Faculty student ratio 1: 5
• Highly qualified faculty and they have great teaching experience.
• Exam difficulty level is Moderate.

- Fest i.e. tech fest and annual fest and small mini fests are also organised.
- Alumini network of this college is best in Odisha.

- Not dislike but not also satisfied with mess food.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I have chosen this course for my interest in machines, and automobiles.
Faculty are top notch and boys: girls ratio is 3:1.
Almost all facilities are PhD holders and their teaching methods are quite impressive.
In between a semester exam, a mid-semester exam is conducted and to passing scenario is about 40%.

- The campus life is very boring as it is an open campus
- The college infrastructure would have been better

Placement Experience:
Students from the 6th semester can apply for the campus placements. Companies like Tata Power and Amazon visit our college every year. The highest package offered this year was 48 lakhs and the average package was 7 lakhs. Almost everyone was placed leaving the ones who went for higher studies.

The students become eligible at the 7th sem for placement. Companies like Google Amazon Deloitte and Accenture hire for full-time and sde roles. The highest package this year is 47lpa from Amazon and also offered 3 internship roles by Amazon placement is around 92%.

- Nothing much dislikes about vssut. But i would say that there is a development in campus and placement also

Placement is good in vssut. Here most of the branches like Circuital branches and cse get 100% placement and all other branches also get a very good placement.
In case any doesn't gate any placement then he/she should apply for off-campus placement.

- The campus area is huge and the location has a very scenic view. It has many scenic views. The weather is amazing here except for the summer months.
- The club culture on campus is good and societies and clubs actively participate in competitions here. Clubs and Societies actively participate in competitions like International Robocon, Innovision etc
- The emphasis on core education is exceptional here. There's a very hard curriculum which requires students to deeply understand the topics so that they could perform well in the real world.
Dislikes
- The placements could have been better, but it has been degraded since the last decade.
- The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. This could have been better.
- Instead of an open campus, the campus could have been bounded, The campus could be more maintained and clean.
Placement Experience:
The placements here are quite average and the average package here is around 5-6lpa considering all the branches. The highest package for 2022-23 was 48.6lpa which was offered by Amazon. Good companies like Amazon, Google, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan have hired from the college but these are all off campus offers. On campus, companies like Deloitte, TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, Infosys, L&T, Tata Power etc have hired. The college offers good opportunities for the core branches, the non core branches are a bit lagged because of the location and the culture. Many people also opt for higher studies and majorly go for an Mtech or an MBA. Around 70-80% students get placed here.

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same
- VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
- The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
- The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
- VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
- The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations
Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
