Strong faculty: vssut is reputed for its experienced faculty members who are often experts in their respective fields.
The college also organises fest which also is a good source of enjoyment and bliss.
Campus employment opportunities are quite good.vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.

Dislikes

Hostel facilities are not so good and the food is also of low quality which is very difficult to eat.
The hostel and mess. there is corruption in the mess. the mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. this could have been better.

In and all its one of the best college. The good thing about our college is the relationship between the senior and junior. Even juniors in contact with the aluminis.

VSSUT- THE OLDEST ENGINEERING COLLEGE IN ODISHA

Remarks:

VSSUT is the oldest engineering college present in Odisha formerly known as UCE. It is situated near the banks of Mahanadi river, sorrounded by MCL, NALCO etc. It is over 300 acres. Infrastructure is quite average but a lot has changed over years. As we know, Old is gold VSSUT is one of the finest colleges in Odisha.

Remarks:

Positive thing include good placements, various fests including technical fests, sports fests, cultural fests, faculty support. Negative things include lack of placements of some integrated course branches, fund allocation for sports events and various tournaments.

Beauty of burla, one of best engineering college of odisha.

Admission:

In ojee entrance exam I have qualify and as according to colleges adimission criteria I was got selected then according to the norms of college administration I have done the addmission. Need to qualify jee. Mains or ojee to join college.

Remarks:

My remarks on college is very neutral.till now i have not experienced any worst situation.their is room for improvement. The hostel infrastructure and the labs need drastic improvement and modernization.

One of the best college in the state

Remarks:

If pure technical knowledge is your priority you should choose this college. As the college is situated far from the main cities of the state the reachability is bad. It does hamper the placement a bit but otherwise it's a very good college

Remarks:

The lab should provide recent modern machines to students which are time-saving and it should be extended for carrying more research machines for Ph.D. students. The college library should contain more extra books for reference.

Remarks:

Teachers teaching 1st year students are not good.They don't teach well.In 2nd semester the mathematics teacher is not available.I think I'll have to study myself to pass in exam.I can't talk about other faculties because i don't know them clearly.In 1st semester the Basic Civil Engineering teacher was no good.

Remarks:

College is in an open campus so locals create problems , and more accident happens , rules must be strict for students who does mischievous activities in hostel and the authorities must take care of the campus to make it ragging free

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same

VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations

Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
