- Strong faculty: vssut is reputed for its experienced faculty members who are often experts in their respective fields.
- The college also organises fest which also is a good source of enjoyment and bliss.
- Campus employment opportunities are quite good.vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.
Dislikes
- Hostel facilities are not so good and the food is also of low quality which is very difficult to eat.
- The hostel and mess. there is corruption in the mess. the mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
- The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. this could have been better.

The oldest college in the east zone after IIT Kharagpur, has a vast Alumni network and great exposure of clubs participating in national and international events, surrounded by a big network of industries at it's proximity which makes it possible for students to experience industries/internships and also may get placed-in. The college is surrounded by a vast lush green acres of land and its proximity to the huge mighty Mahanadi Dam and many places of visit. The college is locates at the out skirts of the main city Sambalpur which makes the surroundings calm and free from the city chaos. Also it's well spaced hostels for students and activity center are a huge attention drawer.

Because this university's maximum students have been placed in many good companies. Here placement is very good and studing facilities are excellent and it is also near to my home. And the main thing is the college is having good administrative facilities.

Government University with strong aluminus. Good placement oppurtunities. It was also suggested by people i know and i got my prefered branch (mechanical engineering) in the college. Great campus and very old university. Faculties are from IITs. Various options available. Great fiversity and also many vlubs to explore ur choice of career.

I wanted to do an Engineering Degree and this is a reputed government college for that regard. It is also a deemed university, which I found to be useful. This is the first Engineering college of Odisha.

Remarks:
Talking about the college management it is very good, but about the college administration, it's really bad. They hardly listen to any problem from the students. As it is a government college, no one really cares. They have to make their own money. Over all I will say a very good college with good faculties and students with bad administration.

It is the best and oldest engineering college in odisha.It is a government college.It fulfill all the requirement of students and faculty members.And also it is going to be an IIEST soon.It has a quite good infrastructure for classroom as well as hostel.College has so many technical and cultural group with so many talented folks.Some of our technical club got limca world record for there project on rocket and satellite and recognize by ISRO.Alsi college is surrounded by nature's beauty.

This is the best university in Odisha with best placement records. With more than 60 years of excellence and experience, Formerly UCE, vssut offers engineering course in all most all the branches starting from information technology, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering.

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same
- VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
- The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
- The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
- VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
- The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations
Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
