- Strong faculty: vssut is reputed for its experienced faculty members who are often experts in their respective fields.
- The college also organises fest which also is a good source of enjoyment and bliss.
- Campus employment opportunities are quite good.vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.
Dislikes
- Hostel facilities are not so good and the food is also of low quality which is very difficult to eat.
- The hostel and mess. there is corruption in the mess. the mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
- The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. this could have been better.

This is the top and first govt engineering college in Odisha. The mighty Hirakud dam surrounding it. And also the natural beauty of the place. The senior-junior relationship, the ambiance, different clubs attracted me the most.

The university has a good performance in placement. Our university has to develop the infrastructure for sports. There is a lot of students who are good in their respective sports but the infrastructure for them is not available in the university.

In the future, it may be IIST which will be very good for our college.
This proposal has been gone to parliament, I don't how much time it will take to give the decision, ISRO president is also taken their doctorate degree from this college which very positive thing.

At first, when I joined I have decided to give a second chance in JEE main. But seriously speaking after my 1st semester I was regretting that I have to live in this college only for 4years. I love my Vssut

The college has high placement records. The teachers have good teaching style. They are hardworking. The hostels provide good quality food and are clean. It has the larger alumni base than any college in Odisha. The seniors are a bit cocky but they become your friends pretty soon.

Because as per my rank this College was best option to go in. If I would have a better rank then I would definitely for for IITs or NITs. VSSUT is the best college in my state after NIT Rourkela.

Its vast allumunus association, placement rate, communication and transportation facility. It is surrounded by beauty of nature in form of hills,dams etc.this place is serene. The mess food is okay, no mess can actually satisfy its students. But outside hostel you can find every kind of food from streets to restaurants and price range as you like.As per class timings are pretty flexible and the professors are well qualified. Its reputation of ragging was of past, as of now i can assure you that 0% ragging is there.The hostels are pretty clean. You get free coaching for gate exam which is a absolute bonus for students aiming higher degree. Overall you can choose this University as you will be placed for sure and you can survive anywhere in the world when you leave this college.

the best thing about this place is the laboratories which are well equipped and the experience staff here helps a lot during the entire experiments in the practical classes Professors are very supportive whereas the administration is very rude and they take 10-20 days just to get a bonafide certificate done from them they are really pathetic

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same
- VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
- The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
- The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
- VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
- The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations
Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
