- Strong faculty: vssut is reputed for its experienced faculty members who are often experts in their respective fields.
- The college also organises fest which also is a good source of enjoyment and bliss.
- Campus employment opportunities are quite good.vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.
Dislikes
- Hostel facilities are not so good and the food is also of low quality which is very difficult to eat.
- The hostel and mess. there is corruption in the mess. the mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
- The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. this could have been better.

The placement in College is quite good. Many Companies come for Placement like Infosys, Deloitte, MCL, Tata, etc.
Students from the 3rd semester become eligible for Campus Placement.
The average package differs with Companies average overall being 6 lpa and the highest package upto 11lpa. The percentage of students getting placed is about 90%.
My plan is to become an entrepreneur after completing my degree.

VSSUT has a great history of campus placement as it offers very good and high rated campuses for placement. Campus such as WIPRO, TCS, DELOITTE, etc. The students scoring a CGPA of at least 7.5 are eligible for getting placement in campuses. The maximum package varies from 40000-50000 INR per month.
The placement percentage is very high at our college. It has a minimum placement percent of 90%.
As I have a field of interest in my branch subject, I will go for a job in my branch subject only.

This college is Odisha's top most govt. engineering college. The admission process is through JEE MAINS and OJEE only. As it is the best in govt engg. college but it lags in the ragging part. In terms of ragging every year some cases of ragging is must in news.

Remarks:
I chose this university because its the best government college in my state after NIT ROURKELA. If you don't manage to get a seat there then this is your go to institute especially if you're looking to take up a core branch like electrical, mechanical or civil. The admission process is quite simple as they consider JEE marks and rank and you need to carry other relevant documents like 10th and 12th scoresheet.

This college is one of thr oldest college of Odisha with good teaching.Top rated college of Odisha. vssuat.ac.in is the college website.We got selected by ojee counseling, students from others state can also get admitted here.

The college is the first engineering college in my state.It is well furnished with advanced learning techniques. The teachers are highly educated and trained. The introduction of other better facilities for benifit woulf be highly appreciated.

One of the best govt college in Odisha,Studies and academics are too good. Placement is also eI wanted to take admission in NIT Rourkela but i didn't got it so i took admission i nthis college ans hopefull this was my right decision.

The best thing about the course is you would be learning some of the subjects that is related to other department may it be electrical, electronics etc. You will more enjoy being in clubs where you will learn a lot apart from your academics and will help you in your future someday.

Placement Experience:
From 3rd year ending means 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements.
The companies which are visited in the college are Infosys, Tech Mahindra, tata steel, Wipro, Dell, hp
The highest package is 6lkh and the average package is 4 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placements is 85%.
My plans after getting the degree are studying MTech or MBA

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same
- VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
- The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
- The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
- VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
- The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations
Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
