- Strong faculty: vssut is reputed for its experienced faculty members who are often experts in their respective fields.
- The college also organises fest which also is a good source of enjoyment and bliss.
- Campus employment opportunities are quite good.vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.
Dislikes
- Hostel facilities are not so good and the food is also of low quality which is very difficult to eat.
- The hostel and mess. there is corruption in the mess. the mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
- The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. this could have been better.

Course Curriculum Overview:
So my course is bachelor of engineering and technology in mechanical engineering so it's preety good and we got all equipment available in our college and lecture here are so good and helpful so we don't have to worry for our studies

The information that I have from my seniors is the placement record in veer Surendra Sai University of technology burla is really good .each year many companies coming and hiring the freshers with a good package.

- Teachers/professors are Well Qualified(sometimes you like it isn't,but actually they have proper knowledge).
- A good Overall Facility to Grow and develope ,as there are many Events(Tech. Events, outdoor Game events, Chess event, religious Events)
- Every Year A good quality Fest takes place at the campus . Three fests take place every year VASSAUNT (cultural event), SAMAVESH(tech event), ILLUMINA(Sports Event).. these events take place before exams to release overall Stress in students.
Dislikes
- Some Things has gotten stricter from earlier times. Like attendance issues....sometimes even if u have genuine issues you won't be listened.
- Earlier the Marking style but a bit loose, but now it's gotten genuine for some teachers. They give proper genuine marks which may be Sad news for some people😂
- You have to take responsibility for Your placements. Take help from Friends and Seniors. PROFESSORS generally don't interfere in this.
Placement Experience:
• From 2nd Year One can Get placed in our college if He/she is hardworking and brilliant enough.
But I general you can get placed from 3rd by getting Pre-placement Opportunity.
• JP Morgan,Accenture, Delliote, K-Fintech , Infosys, Aditya Birla, DeltaX, Cognizant, Capgemini, Bitwise, Cartesian, Tata Power....etc.
• Highest package 20LPA(JP MORGAN on-Campus) and lower 3.5LPA( Infosys On-Campus).
• 85-90% Placed Every year.
• I'll Be sticking to the same field. But if I chose I can go for MBA.

- The cafeteria is quite impressive with its wide range of eating options available throughout the day.
- The college campus is mesmerizing with greenery all around.
- Highly qualified faculties put in a lot of effort for the students.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is in a terrible state, with corrosion on walls a common sight, water seeping through floors.
- The girls to boys ration is terribly low. It makes for a very terrible social environment.
- The internet facility is in a dire state and regular power cut offs prohibit us from achieving our maximum potentials
Placement Experience:
VSSUT has decent placement oppertunities, especially in core branches like civil, mechanical, Electrical and IT. Companies visit for recruitment, offering good prospects. Many also opt for higher studies, to enhance employability post graduation.

- Faculties are very expert in their respective subject. They thoroughly guide every students who wants to do something.
- Our Training and Placement coordinator is very helpful. He helps students in every possible way as much as he do either it is regarding placement, internship or scholarship.
- There are so many technical as well as cultural clubs in our college which helps to gain hands on experience on many projects.
Dislikes
- Canteen's sitting capacity needs to improve.
- Campus infrastructure also needs to improve.
- Class Timetable is quiet irritating. It needs to be change considering day scholar. Girls to Boys ratio is 1:2.

Placement Experience:
From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies such as JSW, Delloite, Tata Power, Bitwise, Aditya Birla Group, Infosys, Aqua Green, etc come to campus. Their average package differs from 3LPA to 6LPA. Some companies ask CGPA of more than 6 while other asks for 8. I'll be pursuing an M.Tech after getting a B.Tech Degree.

- Very structured way if doing things no hassle
- Nice and godd, a clean campus is a big plus
Dislikes
- Arrogance in the staff of academic section
- The buildings should a lift system for each block
- Not suitable for wheelchair candidates at all.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester.
Many companies visit the university for campus placements
The software companies offer packages averaging to about 4 LPA. While core companies average about 5 LPA

- The College is the oldest so it got a wide chain of alumni
- Near to industrial location like JSW, HINDALCO, HIRAKUD DAM.
- Placement is good as it got good name in the industry
Dislikes
- Too much academic pressure since semester are small
- Location is in outskirt so no Social life
- Oldest college and so as the lab instruments
Placement Experience:
The Placement is quite Impressive,due to its vast alumni network many reputed companies such as Maruti Suzuki,Tata Power, Aditya Birla, Accenture,JSW, Wipro, Cognizant etc Come for Campus Recruitment.
Placement is core branches such as electrical, mechanical is high (<90%) .While software companies also provide good number of placement.
I will try to join companies like Maruti Suzuki,JSW etc and also try to fetch good GATE score for further study

- College Environment is good like see the gate of vssut burla it's almost India gate
- A lot of events occur here which give you confidence for a lot of future activities
- A lot of companies visit here especially in core branches with a sound package
Dislikes
- The culture of ragging although its less now but yeah it is
- The place that is burla is very small and not too much good transportation is there
- Hostel food If you will see menu it is like woww but taste hits different
Placement Experience:
Placement is too good here if you maintain a decent cpga then you are going to a get a good job like 200 + companies visit here every year.
May be packages are not high as Nits but ya decent placement is there.

- I liked the practical education system , I mean the labs.
- Also the discipline that students maintain.
- The occasions like basant festival and other festivals.

- The hostel clearness I mean the bathroom especially.
Placement Experience:
After 6th semester the students are eligible for placements
Highest package this year was 8.2 of Infosys and average it's 4 lpa
60 Percent minimum is required to sit in placements
Im thinking of getting placement or doing mtech.

- Hostel Life is Very Enjoying and you get to spend a different life other than your Family Life.
- The Clubs make it more interesting because there are various clubs and it provides a good platform to engage with friends
- You Meet different people and understand their life and adjust yourself with different situations.
Dislikes
- The Academics is very old traditioned and you need to study by yourself in order to get good grades
- The Senior Interaction can be toxic and depressing for some people and it becomes more toxic
- The Faculties are knowledgable but they don't impart the knowledge which we want.
Placement Experience:
From Final year you start getting the placements(Campus).
There are multiple companies coming to our college
Core Companies - ABG, JSW, Maruti Suzuki, JSPL, Adani and many more
IT Companies - Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, Accenture and many more
Around 70-80% students get theb placements from the college.
Highest package last year is 15 lakhs and Average placement is around 6 lakhs.
My plan is to get the placement and get a job in the Campius placements.

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same
- VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
- The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
- The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
- VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
- The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations
Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
