- Strong faculty: vssut is reputed for its experienced faculty members who are often experts in their respective fields.
- The college also organises fest which also is a good source of enjoyment and bliss.
- Campus employment opportunities are quite good.vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.
Dislikes
- Hostel facilities are not so good and the food is also of low quality which is very difficult to eat.
- The hostel and mess. there is corruption in the mess. the mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
- The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. this could have been better.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The syllabus is same and old fashioned and its common in all engineering colleges (Govt) .
Faculties give proper time but you have to be attentive and before exam you shoul prepare well for the semesters.
For placements you have to improve your skills through online courses or youtube or any source but not just for certification.

- college atmosphere and the accessiblity and all the things includes the infra and tecahing methods was also good

- the campus is not a closed campus and the only problem i felt was genuine according to me and rest things are ok
Placement Experience:
Highest package is 17LPA offered by CISCO and average package for this year it is 6.5 LPA
At the starting of the 7th sem companies start coming to colleges and take till the end of 8th sem.
many companies come for hiring inf different damonain which includes JSW, ADitya BIRLA, COGNIZANT, VEDANTA etc eith 130+cpmanies

- I like workshop of mechanical department .
- I like the CFC and CCD of our campus very much.
- I like the Club culture and techno cultural fest .

- In summer here the weather is generally very hot.
- In marking system of our college by our professors .
- Food canteen of our college is very poor.
Placement Experience:
In our college placement condition is very good. Core placements is very good as compare to software placements. From 7th semester you are eligible for campus placement. JSW, VEDANTA, L&T, MARUTI SUZUKI, DELOITTE, TCS, TATA MOTOR, TATA ELECTRONIC, ADANI, ABG, ACCENTURE, INFOSYS etc.

Placement Experience:
Placement scenario is moderate here as it is a tier 3 College. Package varies with respect to different branches. Some of the students also try for GATE , CAT & UPSC Examination.
After on campus college also provides Off Campus & pool placements.

- college lab facilities are better.You can easily try all the things you taught in the theory classes.
- There are various clubs or student sections which helps you to make your engineering ideas and thoughts.
- Environment is very attractive and beautiful.
Dislikes
- sometimes the courses are not completed as the syllabus.
- in summer days it is very hot environment.so we want Ac class rooms.
- It is not a closed campus like Nits and Iits.If it happend then the college will be better.
Placement Experience:
from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements.there are many companies visited our college to give placement oppertunities to students like deloitte,JSW,Vedanta etc.the highest package was 54 lacs and average package was 10 lacs

- Environment of the college where it is situated is very good and provides peace to the mind. There are also many places around the college where anyone can go and have a small weekend trip.
- The teachers of the department are very helpful and the support in every condition. They encourage the students in every aspect and help them to learn new things.
- The college provides various opportunities to the student via the help of different clubs and societies, which helps to participate in various national and international level competitions throught out country.
Dislikes
- The heat during the summer is quiet high as temperature rises above 38 degrees.
Placement Experience:
From 7th semester students become eligible for sitting in the placement.
Many companies visit the college during the time of placement and make many offers, approximately 60 offers were made last year with a placement percentage of 80%.
The highest package was 14lpa and the average package is 7lpa.
More than 80% students get places in the department every year.
My plan is to get a job and contribute to the industry.

- The teaching method of the faculty is quite good.
- The technical society is strong enough to give you a good exposure
- The placement ratio is quite good.The core company placement is awesome
Dislikes
- The classrooms are not so spacious and it feels like suffocated
- The labs are not well equipped to carry on the experiment
- Some of the teachers are not cooperative

The curriculum is quiet interesting and newly equipped skill based curriculum the major changes that the curriculum is industry ready courses which help the students to reach to there desired company .

- Each branch has their own respective laboratories for practical skills learning
- Clubs are very active and well supported by the college financially
- It offers many scholarship which will help students
Dislikes
- Their is a ragging culture in this college but now the condition is much better
- Each branch has extended too many seats, so that there is no proper environment
- Hostels are too far from college we need closed campus

Even if it is a tier-3 college it has very good placement opportunities compared to many well known college in the state.many big company offer 10+ lpa and recruit multiple students across different branches . Placement in it domain is also very good

- Faculties here are very good always ready to help
- It has a very big library which has large numbers of book both in online and offline format
Dislikes
- It has 75% attendence policy which need to be removed
- We need to walk from hostel to college in road which is dangerous for students
- It has outdated machines in lab , which is no use to learn in today's world
Placement Experience:
It has very good placement opportunities for mechanical Engineering and electrical engineering, also for electronics and telecommunication
Companies like vedanta , JSW ,l&t and maruti hier multiple students from this college
Also companies like TCS and Accenture are mass recruit from here

- College technical and cultural festival in which various famous artists perform
- Ted-talks arranged by ecell club of our college in which guest Like aman dhattarwal has also been invited
- Very green environment, college campus is full of trees and plants
Dislikes
- Lunch timing is just for 1pm to 2pm which is not sufficient
- Mid semester exam don't have any gaps in between
- Hostel has in time of 6.30 pm which should be extended
Placement Experience:
Vssut, Burla doesn't have very big companies like Google or Microsoft but still place in core branches are very good, companies like Hindalco Nalco offer placements here it's avg package is 6.6 lpa and core branch avg is around 8lpa

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same
- VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
- The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
- The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
- VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
- The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations
Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
