First thing i like about this campuse is its beautiful like really beautiful.
Here some teachers are really good and helpful which encourages for better performance in every field
Students can get so many scholarship opportunities once they join this institute like for students living in jk or students with good cgpa.

Dislikes

Professors are not that good as expected,need to understand concepts from youtube
This is quite difficult to afford for a middle class family but there are fee waiver also
Hostels are not that good and have only fans not even cooler so it is difficult in summers washrooms are also not well mantained food is also not that good overall hostels are very unhygienic and are not well mantained

Stuggle in NIt jalandhar

Likes

I like the campus environmental its is quite vibrant and good every time there is something happen here.
Clubs and the support of seniors are quite great
No ragging and vulgarity promoted in collages

Dislikes

Too much study pressure those who opt for clubs don't get enough time because of this
Don't like the the way teachers act toward student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this field because of the growing sector in this field and future opportunities for jobs in India, as we know that India is a developing country and still being developed especially in the infrastructure sector, so the field of civil engineering is quite promising in Future

Likes

I like the institute department buildings the infrastructure
I like the clubs and events at my college
Institute faculties are also well qualified

Dislikes

The internet services at my college is very poor
Hostel rooms of college are not up to Mark
There is very less interaction with our seniors in 1st year due to anti ragging

College is good there is an average of 13.5 lpa offered by companies in our college in the percentage of student getting placed in IT branch is also of 90% the highest package is about 54 lakh offered by Microsoft and it is offer to as a post office

Likes

Environment which includes students who also All india Rankers
Campus which beautiful includes Gym classroom and Ground
Staff and Faculty members which is very helpful

Placement Experience:

NITs are famous for their Quality Education and Placements. In my college placement scenarios are good. Approximately 85-90 per cent of students are placed. There are more than 150 companies are visit. The Highest package was around 51LPA and the average is around 12LPA

Likes

Teachers, most important here are teachers who are very friendly and cooperative
Friends, here friend circle is very good. You can create many new friends.
Infrastructure. A very good place to click photographs.

Dislikes

Seniors. They are very rude and arrogant.
Rules, very strict rules for first year students.
Workshop machines are very old and need to be replaced

Placement Experience:

Students can be eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester. There are various tech, non-tech, circuital companies that visit this college like Amazon But all are average ones. Around 10 lakhs is a normal package. And there are many good packages too. More than 90% get placement. My plan after getting my degree is to be a novelist.

Glimpse of Life at NIT Jalandhar

Likes

Clubs are very active and seniors guide us properly we have opportunity to learn many things
There is zero ragging in the college teachers are helpful in telling the doubts, startup culture is very good

Dislikes

The college is located in a remote place than the city it's very difficult to go to the city and buy things
The campus is small as compared to other Nits

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, the students are eligible for placements. The Companies which visited our campus are Amazon, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, Jio, Mahindra, Paytm, Microsoft, Google, Physics Wallah, Byjus and many more. The average placement of the IP branch is 8.5 lpa in the highest placement is 51 lpa. Around 72 to 80 per cent of students get placed.

Campus environment is very good in terms of nature.
I like the faculty very much as they are very supportive.

Dislikes

There are merely much things that I dislike. for eg.- strictness at the starting period by the hostel management.
One more thing that I dislike is that there is no nearby markets.

From the eighth semester, students become eligible for the campus placements. Many companies visit our college for campus placement purposes. There are many branches which got the highest placements in the previous years such as ECE, CSE, IT, etc.

Nit jalandhar has beautiful and peaceful campus
Nit jalandhar campus life is very good . Faculty members are good.
Placement and infrastructure are very good.

Dislikes

The nitj campus is 15 km far from main city
Whether condition of nit jalandhar is not good
Some course in nitj has bad placement rate

In 7th semester students are eligible for college placement. Many companies visit in college and give offer. Highest package 50 lac And average package 12 lac 85 percent students placed . Got decent job

NIT Jalandhar's experience of two months .

Likes

Hostel Life is the best thing about colleges and yeah hostel Life here is pretty good . People from different regions of India come together and have fun . Hostel Life is good.
Good seniors - Seniors are supporting and there is no ragging here . You get seniors as mentors and you can get any type of help from them .
Social life -You get to improve your social activity, so many events happening, you get the chance to interact,socialize with other people , people of opposite gender as well. Overall decent social life .

Dislikes

Restrictions on first year students are too much . First year students are not allowed to move out of hostel after 7:30 pm.Earlier ot was 5:30 . So due to these restrictions we can't explore campus at night .
Unused area - There is so much area covered in greenery that can be used like area near open air theatre . And timings for gymnasium and table tennis should be adjusted .
Less shopping facilities - Prices are also high . Only one stationary shop and less food options . No Pizza delivery by Pizza Hut and dominoes . No bakery for cakes .

Placement Experience:

Well I don't know about placements as a first year but I think they are decent according to stats , there are campus placements, Nearly 75% students get placed . Highest package this year is 51 Lpa in cse and ece and avg is 12.44 Lpa

Exploring Academics and Campus Life at NIT Jalandhar

Likes

Students are very hard working,which gives a good peer group for growth.
Fests are very enjoyable, and clubs are very active, seniors are good and supportive,Zero ragging cases.
College has all the facilities, which a student needs

Dislikes

Professors are not that good as expected,need to understand concepts from youtube
Placements are not that good except circuital Branches.
College is very far from city in a remote area

Placement Experience:

At the start of 7-semester Companies start coming for placements. The top recruiters of NIT Jalandhar in 2023 included Microsoft, Google, Zscaler, Amazon, BPCL, Goldman Sach, Accenture, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The average package is INR 12.44 LPA and the highest package is INR 51 LPA. The institute has achieved a placement % of 73.79% till now with more than 110 recruiters visiting the campus and making offers to the 950 eligible students. Plans are to prefer getting a good Placement as of now.

Fees is really low, and taking loan is easier as the college is a government entity.
Faculty is helpful, and well educated, which build up confidence in students too.
Clubs are great place to learn and meet new people, thus helps in gaining first of many experiences.

Dislikes

Hostels are not in good condition (only boys hostels)
Mess food is not good, and students often looks for ways to escape it.
Library is not open for 24 hrs, even in the exam times, which can be problematic for many students.

Placement Experience:

The mechanical department has a good placement record, as 95% of students got placed with an average package of around 9 Lpa. Even the highest package was 24 Lpa, with companies like Maruti Suzuki, Accenture, BPCL, etc. Visits the campus.

Mechanical in NIT Jalandhar:

4-5 senior faculty members are excellent. Every ad-hock is very poor and useful in any way. Undergraduate research opportunities are limited, but you can participate in mechanical teams and learn a lot at international-level competitions and race events, or you can start your own. Self-knowledge is the only source of knowledge. If you want, you can get the most out of your knowledge and experience by leaving here. In terms of numbers, placement is excellent. For a long time, the campus has been dominated by PSUs and automobile companies. This includes excellent companies involved in the core design, the power sector, and the energy sector. They don't go there very often, but the overall placement is excellent.

CSE: Students have good grades and get good jobs as a result of the market boom. Some students are very good learners who work hard for their studies and knowledge, but this type of student is between the ages of 8 and 10. The remaining 80 people dance, sing, and participate in other activities.

ECE: Faculty members are friendly and helpful. Students are exceptional. Placements are good, and some students study the entire CSE curriculum to get the job. If you want to come here, you must choose with your mind, consider all aspects, and think wisely.
