First thing i like about this campuse is its beautiful like really beautiful.
Here some teachers are really good and helpful which encourages for better performance in every field
Students can get so many scholarship opportunities once they join this institute like for students living in jk or students with good cgpa.

Dislikes

Professors are not that good as expected,need to understand concepts from youtube
This is quite difficult to afford for a middle class family but there are fee waiver also
Hostels are not that good and have only fans not even cooler so it is difficult in summers washrooms are also not well mantained food is also not that good overall hostels are very unhygienic and are not well mantained

Review of dr br ambedkar nit jalandhar

Likes

Good feeling in campus nice environment to roam
Good faculty for computer science and enegineering
Nice cafeteria and book shops inn the canpus

Dislikes

Low quality boys hostel 4 student in one room
Hygiene issue in hostel no english toilets
Food is not good in hostel and outside stalls

Fron 2nd ans 3rd yeas student started getting offers and 4 year many of my course get placed high percentage for placements many got ppos companies like acrobat google microsoft provide ppo during 3rd year

NIT JALANDHAR: A WORTH IT COLLEGE

First thing is that connectivity of college is good . Train station, market, malls etc are near for students to easily visit. Besides campus is quite good . Minor restriction are there for first year students in terms of hostel timing.
Other factor is that campus is ragging free. There are zero cases of ragging in this college. Anti ragging commission is highly active so there will be no such problem. Besides it , mentorship program are there for you to deal with any kind of prblm.
Placement are quite good with good percentage placement. My branch (ICE) has average package of 9.6L . Top branches even have higher. Most of the faculties are engaging which help in internships .

Dislikes

The things I hate is that liquor store are 10 min distant from college , student easily gets drunk frequently. Besides drug culture is seen a little as Punjab has highest drug consumption rate , it is not seen too much , but it exists.
Some faculties are very rude. Almost half of the batch gets BACK in the examination in the subject of those teachers yet they don't care. They just read ppt In class , they don't care for studies , they just want course completed.
The wifi facilities are extremely poor . Each student gets 15 gb data quota per day but with a crawling speed of 1.5 MBPS , you cannot even use YouTube properly. Besides a hostel in college has private wifi whose charges are taken from students.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college are quite good. My branch has average package of 9.6 lakhs and the highest package of 22 lakhs per annum while in higher branches highest package was 1.5 crore per annum and average was about 15 lakhs. Placement percentage is quite good. alumni network is large as well as helpful for securing placements.in CSE BRANCH approx 96 percent students who are eligible for placement process are placed. Besides in my branch 88% Students are placed successfully. Companies like reliance, Flipkart, Amazon, Google , Microsoft, cisco, samsung, etc visit every years for placements. And my plan after completing the degree is to secure a placement. I will aslo try GATE EXAM. I don't have plan for higher studies.

I liked the greenery and beauty of NITJ campus
I liked college culture in technical collaboration
We are provided with super fast Wifi facilities for our academic purposes

Dislikes

The things which are need to taken care is : increasing freedom of students so that they can improve themselves socially
Academics are very tough and students are unable to focus on all round development
College should improve the quality of cultural activities

Placement Experience:

From four semester we start getting internships from various companies depending on student skills ,but regularly in 6th/7th sem we can ppo's pre-placement offer In cs department students are enjoying an average annual package of 17LAKH while in EC department, students are enjoying an average annual package of 13.5LAKH IN CS DEPARTMENT the placement percentage is nearly 91% while in ECE department placement percentage is nearly 97%

FRESHER EXPERIENCE AT NITJ

Likes

I liked the infrastructure , the buildings
I liked the hostel structure as well the mess
I liked the affordability of the course

Dislikes

I disliked the courses that are being taught
I disliked the unnecessary rules and regulations
Way too many reservations that don't allow talented individuals to shine

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement about at 6th semester's end . Many companies visit the campus for hiring majorly the computer and IT department The highest package for the previuos year was 52 LPA offered to 2 students , one from Computer Science and the other one from Information Technology branch Most of the students got placed as the placement percentage was above 90 for cse

The perfect description of the college life plus the course i have opted

I liked the infrastructure and the green environment of the college very much
I liked the crowd as there is a good entrepreneurial culture
I liked the lecture theatres and halls and faculty too is well qualified

I do not like the attitude of teachers very much
The opportunities are not at par with the other NITS
The cg system is too tough to crack in one night study

its campus is bueatiful and there is good greenery and seniors are also good as they will help you in your studies and offer any type of help you need
i also liked the people of this college mostly they are good
events are good and enjoyable like you will love this college for their events

Dislikes

some teachers in first year are not supportive and they they are somewhat egoish
you have to study on your own and just stay away from any type of conflicts with teacher

placement is good and you will get all the data about placement on their official site which is accurate and and highest pacage is of 52lpa from cse branch and there are many company visiting college for placement

ICE IN NITJ

Likes

Girls hostel is very good. The rooms are very spacious. Each room contains 2 people, so you can also get some private time if needed. There is a bathroom and water cooler on every floor as well.
College contains a lot of plants. So it feels lively all around the year, even during smog season college AQI index is pretty low as compared to the surroundings.
The placement for circuital branches is very good. If you are in circuital branch, you are assured that you will get placed. Faculty teaches of that level only, so that it helps in placement.

Dislikes

College is very small. You can literally walk the whole college in less than an hour. After sometime you will get bored seeing the same things again and again.
College is very far away from jalandhar city, so it is unsafe for a girl to travel alone to and from the college to the city. You need some male batchmate all the time to travel to city.
There are not much places to hang in college. Only 5-6 canteens where you can eat and 2-3 sitting areas for the students. So it is not like there is much fun in moving around the college after first year.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario of circutal branches is very good in college. You can sit for all tech companies that come in college. It's 4 months since internship season started and already companies like google, micrsoft ,schrodinger, expedia, and accenture have come to college. Almost 50 percent of students get internship and 95 percent students get places. Internship is compulsory after 6th semester for 2 months and you can go or semester long internship in 8th semester. Many internship students get PPO after coming back. Also placement season begins in 7th semester for all branches. Many students go for masters directly after bachelors also.

My Bachelors Experience in NIT Jalanhdar

College have a gym that is open all 7 days from 6AM to 9PM, hence people can go to gym anytime they like.
Department labs are well equipped with all kind of things required, it not like we cannot perform some experiment because a chemical is missing.
The campus life is pretty good, as you have many gardens to hangout and there are local as well as branded food shops to eat.

Dislikes

College is very far away from city. From jalandhar city railway station it is almost 15 kms which is a journey of around 45 mins in an auto ride.
College campus are is only 154 acres, it is among the smallest campus in all NIT, so after some time there are no new places to explore in college.
The curriculum is very difficult as compared to other colleges, as the syllabus is updated every year to meet the industry requirements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course of chemical engineering is very relevant to the current industry. The syllabus us updated every year to meet the industry standards. Also with chemical engineering you can opt for courses from other deprarments as you like. We are also taught courses like economics essential to analyse the real life situtaions and help make life deicisons based on them. The faculty teaches the course mainly focusssing on placements and motivate students to write research papers as their minor and major projects. The syllabus matches a lot to GATE chemical syllabus.

MY COLLEGE LIFE

Likes

The campus is very spacious and lush green
Seperate buildings for all the departments and well equipped labs
Wide range of hostels for both boys and girls

Dislikes

a bit far from the city so commuting might be difficult
blinkit does not work, so adapt as you may :)
might have to walk a bit more as campus is too large

well designed curriculm. subjects relevant to current market demand. was intrested in coding so chose cs and yes its been helping me well cracking interviews. timing for each subject is good such that you are already preapred with the subject well for the oa round. great help with coding rounds and interviews

NITJ experience

Likes

The infrastructure of department and hostels is very good for a government college.
Good mess food, you can eat in hostel mess for 5-6 days out of the 7 days as the food is pretty good.
Faculty provides PPTS and notes of what all topics are taught.

Dislikes

Very small space. The college is among the smallest NITS
Very far away from the city. A single auto ride takes around rs 300.
Poor boys to girls ratio. Out of 170 people only 36 girls are there in CSE.

Placement Experience:

College placements are pretty good. Overall average of CSE department is 14LPA with 95 percent placed. Overall placement average of all branches is 6LPA witb 87 percent placed. Many students also go for higher studies. Companies come for internship from 5th sem and for FTE / 6month intern from 7th sem. I am currently selected for internship in expedia for summer 2025.

Mechanical in NIT Jalandhar:

4-5 senior faculty members are excellent. Every ad-hock is very poor and useful in any way. Undergraduate research opportunities are limited, but you can participate in mechanical teams and learn a lot at international-level competitions and race events, or you can start your own. Self-knowledge is the only source of knowledge. If you want, you can get the most out of your knowledge and experience by leaving here. In terms of numbers, placement is excellent. For a long time, the campus has been dominated by PSUs and automobile companies. This includes excellent companies involved in the core design, the power sector, and the energy sector. They don't go there very often, but the overall placement is excellent.

CSE: Students have good grades and get good jobs as a result of the market boom. Some students are very good learners who work hard for their studies and knowledge, but this type of student is between the ages of 8 and 10. The remaining 80 people dance, sing, and participate in other activities.

ECE: Faculty members are friendly and helpful. Students are exceptional. Placements are good, and some students study the entire CSE curriculum to get the job. If you want to come here, you must choose with your mind, consider all aspects, and think wisely.
