SLIET Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placement of my college is moderate and the average package is around 4-5 LPA. Branches like Computer science and Mechanical Engineering have around 50-70% of placement and the remaining departments and branches have around 30-50% of placement. Although the highest package is around 20 LPA it is given only to one or two students. The placement session starts in the 7th semester of Btech.

I chose the MSc physics course because of my interest in understanding, learning, exploring, and teaching physics. and I want to be a professor researcher in the future. here the faculty-student ratio is very good. every teacher is friendly with students and all the teachers are very much qualified. the exams were conducted timely and passed was some difficulty.

There is not very much placement available right now. Very few companies come to our campus for placement and the average package is about 3000 to 45000. But very few candidates get placed due to fewer seats available.

I wanted to do some different and was attracted to engineering. Faculties are around 600-700. Students here are mostly from Bihar. All facilities are mostly done phd and engineering departments The teaching method is well although students should do hard work. Exams are done on time and the paper level is moderate.

My course is good and the faculty member is also good there are many good faculty in the mechanical department of the Sant Longowal Institute of engineering and Technology, I will advise my brother to take admitted in this college

The course is comparatively good and helpful in developing some skill related in electrical field. The faculty members are good but not best because of language they use to teach, some faculty members use their local language to teach which is only beneficial to local students and hard to understand for other states students.

From 3rd semester students are eligible for PPO. 4th have compulsory eligible for placements. Companies like JSW , TCS , COGNIZANT, WIPRO, JINDAL AND SAW , ISSAC , L&T , Asainpaint , Mahendra , Infosys , Godrej . Paper mill and Local industries based on Ludhiana . Highest on campus was 10 lakhs given by JSW . The students prefer GATE , UPSC IES and CSE , Railway JE and higher studies from IITs and Foreign University.

After 6th semester students are eligible for campus placement Almost 100+ companies visited like jsw, L&T, Unilever, Mahindra etc The percentage of getting placement is not very good because students don't focus on studying if you do consistently study then you will be placed in about 5 to 6.5 lakh in mechanical

For bachelors, third-year students are allowed to sit in the campus placements. So many companies like hcl., L&T, and many more. Can't tell you much about this as I am not aware of these things. I am sure to work on my Ph.D. after getting my degree.

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Many Companies come to our College like Khanna group and many more. The highest package is up to 10 to 30 lakhs per Annum depending on whether the students that are capable or not for that package.
