The college has opportunities of scholarships for students have family income less than 10 lakhs and the college is great helper in these cases
Computer engineering students enjoy excellent placement opportunities, whereas for other branch students, there are fewer companies specifically in the core biotechnology sector.
The campus infrastructure is one of the best thing, it's pretty, filled with beautiful buildings, comfortable classes fully air conditioned, greenery all around sports complex running lanes, during winters and autumn the weather is so pleasant here.

Dislikes

I understand that there is a placement cell available here, but recently, the placements have not been very good.
Some teachers are not good at teaching and problem here to to find a rrsouce to study the topic
Fees is very high here which is the worst part here .

Remarks:

Well, thapar is a recognised college which has been ranked amongst top 5 private colleges in India. Placement is very good and the campus has a lot of facilities for growth of children. Civil engineering in thapar has lots of scope. Big companies like LNT, SHAPOORJEE and lots of core companies regularly visit for placement cells. The campus has biggest library in Asia and has lots of sports facilities. I would recommend,if going for private university,Thapar university,from my perspective is one of the best university.

Placement Experience:

According to the latest data of 2019. The highest package of Thapar was 39L with an average package of 7L. The top recruiters that visit our college are Amazon, Microsoft, DE shaw, JP Morgan, Infosys, and so on. The startups that visit our campus are multiple some of them being White Panda, Autoninja, etc.

Remarks:

TIET is a reputed institution when it comes to engineering. It is one of the few colleges in India which offer a course in Mechatronics. Thapar is known to have excellent placement record and has a highly respected Mechanical Department.

Remarks:

I scored an average marks in JEE Mains. And at this score I was not able to get admissions in any other good colleges. Also, thapar has a very good image and I researched more about it. I found that except that this is a private University so it has a very high tution fees but leaving this, this is the best. Students of thapar and NIT Jalandhar have direct competition. I had an aim for NIT Jalandhar but couldn't get it. But for sure I can compromise with thapar without any guilt. This college has a wonderful campus, a very experienced teachers which other than teaching provide you with research work too. In my views if unfortunately you missed your dream college, do try considering this college if you can afford.

This was the best college I could have got for the marks I scored in Jee mains. Wanted to get admitted in a good college near my hometown, also had heard about its placement records, infrastructure, environment and other things.

Because it was the only option left in Nit Jalandhar I was being alloted Chemical branch. Here Electronics and Computer was a better option.So Had to choose this only, Otherwise Nit Jalandhar is a much better option had to come here As at 89/360 jee main score could get only Chemical in nitj.After Nitj the best option is Tiet

Assorted placements are being introduced in this Institute, especially for the branches COE,CSc, which made an eye popping reaction while analysing about the college. Moreover, the teachers, study plan, extra-curricular activities and societies are all very comforting and constructive.

Thapar University has a brand name, however, the ground reality for this university is not very pleasant and it is swiftly losing the qualities that defined it in its glorious past. The rankings of students enrolled in the university are going down each year. The administration is taking serious measures against the same, however, because of these measures the other students are suffering. One example is the strict entry and exit timings.

Academically, your experience in this institution will differ according to your branch. The CSE branch has a cooperative faculty and lenient attendance criteria. This is not the case for other branches. In other branches, some faculty members may hold personal grudges against you while some may fail you for missing the required attendance mark (75%) by as small as 0.1%. The mess is below average and the classrooms are not very impressive. The administration is very slow.

However, there are positive points about Thapar University as well. The alumni from Thapar are placed in some of the best companies in India and abroad. It has some of the best synthetic courts in any engineering college in India. There are many teachers at Thapar University who serve as a source of inspiration to their students. Sports facilities for all the major sports are great. Placements at Thapar University are great and the labs are well updated. Even though Thapar is facing a drug problem, its teachers and administration are very active in trying to solve this issue.

Thus, even though Thapar University has outlived its glorious days, it has some positive points too. It is completely your choice whether or not you wish to take admission into it.

Thapar University has better placements than most private colleges and NITs. But the problem is, placements here directly depend on the grades of the students, and only the serious ones who work hard to build their profile bag the best packages.

Now the reviews of students are mixed because not everyone invests the same efforts and bags high packages. The people giving bad reviews are the ones who did not build their resumes well.

The best thing about Thapar University is the level of freedom you get to experience here. However, the increasing intake is slowly deteriorating the student quality so you might want to consider this before joining.
