You have a good percentage in high school and jee you'll get scholarships like 1.4 lakh.
Faculties were very friendly and approachable,motivated students who lack in academics, encourage students who are talented, solve their doubts
The infrastructure of the campus just looking like a wow, the cub activities provided here is well good to equiped by the students and has many field of interest of the students the club activities are provided

Dislikes

Sometimes the mess food worst. It's based on the mood of the contract team. I literally hate that kind of attitude.
Sometimes you might feel a stress of the curriculum has there will be a limited time
their rules are a bit more rude and strict

The great life of karunya

Likes

the infracture they provide which includes numerous specialised lab just for biotech
the resources they give for our educational and career growth like placements,conducting various events and programs
the friendliness of the staffs and professors who are willing to spend time and teach or guide us in any possible way

Dislikes

the attendance because a strict issue we face even if it means we have urgent emergency matters or if we are sick
the number of holidays they provide to go home
the pressure to handle various subjects including labs

Placement Experience:

the placements in my college is moderate and would vary from department to department. for biotech mainly, there are fairly less number of placements. i believe it is due to the covid affect where many companies departed from college connection

Course Curriculum Overview:

course curriculum made me choose AI/ML as my specialization . course helps us to build practical real life applications. The course curriculum should need more practical implementations and Real time applications. The Timings of the Exams are suitable for students.

Likes

The campus has good infrastructure with nature and has large space for everything with great environment

Dislikes

The placement are very low and the packages are low for this college

In my department they are focusing placement for every student but almost everyone getting placed with lower package im moving to abroad to gain some knowledge and earn some skills from the company in abroad

Biotechnology in karunya

Likes

The lab and infrasturcture facilities for biotechnology
Constanly imrpoved and updated curriculum
Qualification of faculties in the department

Placement Experience:

Students are elegible for campus placement from 6th semester onwards if they are in their undegraduate 8 semester course. There is a seperate facility in the college for placememtd known as placement cell which provide training, mock interviews provided for the students in their final year compulsory.

Focuses on making entrepreneurs than employees. Startups, new ideas are very much appreciated
Patenting new ideas and prototypes can be done here.
Ambience here is beautiful even the faculties are experts in their subject.

Dislikes

Rarely cultural fests happen in this institute
The girls hostel is strict compared to other hostels
College can be strict over some matters sometimes

Campus placements usually begine from 7th semester. Companies that visit KITS are TCS,Cognizant,Wipro, Infosys etc in addition to these startups also visist the campus. Average salary package ranges from 3.5 to 6 LPA.Highest package for studenets in some fields are 12 - 15LPA. 80-85% of students are getting placed through campus placements.

"A Balance Campus Life at Karunya - My Honest Experience"

i genuinely enjoyed the atmosphere at Karunya the green environment coupled with its unique climate that swings between extreme summers and winters creates a distinct experience .
The surrounding mountains making Karunya one of the most scenic colleges in Coimbatore , Bethesda is the highlight part in karunya the best blessing place and the most calm place to relax and spend time with god ; Hostel is so comfortable and safer
Main in Karunya is faculties they are approachable, and friendly nature also plays a crucial role in shaping for our path to success

Dislikes

Rush mode to complete everything all at ones
Tight schedules between the internals and semester
Disappointed in timetable schedule no proper gaps to study and relax

Karunya life

Likes

I loved the campus, it was green and very pleasant
my faculty were very friendly, they helped and guided me throughout my course
Campus life was pretty good considering the fact that it gave me amazing friends who helped me with my academics

Dislikes

Sometimes it can be overwhelming due to college work which happens to every other student in any college
Wish girls had more oppurtunity to go out and explore
Rules can be a little lenient and it can affect campus life engagements

Placement Experience:

Students usually become eligible for placements in their final year of college, Where a lot of big companies visit the college every year , inclusing hungerbox, google, accenture, as far as i remember somebody was offered 10LPA, almost 85% of students get placed in various companies Iam currently applying for colleges

Honest Review of Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Coimbatore.

Likes

Karunya provides a peaceful environment. The location of Karunya is near the Kerela border. The western ghats mountains are clearly visible from the Karunya University and hostel campus. The climate here during winter season is very pleasant.
The placement opportunities and academic exposure in our university is very sufficient and meets international standards. Karunya was accredited with NAAC A++ on 2023.
The faculties are well versed and experienced in their respective fields. The professors are highly skilled and also friendly. So many patents are claimed and granted to our university professors.

Dislikes

No cultural exposure. Karunya doesn't allow for any interschool cultures, or events. Even so, strict religious codes are followed.
More restrictions for female students than male students including dress code, hostel outing facilities and even slight descrimination if you do not follow the cultural norms.
The tuition fees and accommodation fees for Karunya as a deemed University is high compared to other deemed Universities. It is quite not affordable unless you're parents are rich enough to pay the fees.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at karunya is better when compared to other universities. From 7th semester, students are eligible for attending placements. Students should have cgpa above 6 with no backlogs as a criteria of attending placements. So far many IT companies like quantiphy, Infosys, Accenture, Sutherland, internzvalley, conserve solutions and other companies for recruitment. Biotechnology core companies will come for recruitment at the final semester. The highest package came for recruitment till now is 8 to 12 lakhs per annum for CS department.

My Life in Karunya

Likes

Infrastructure, classroom facilities were all at its best
Staff were all very friendly and were all available to all the students when needed

Dislikes

Sometimes weather was a little extreme to be comfortable all day
Laboratories can be maintained better in repairing the equipment

Placement Experience:

Good number of companies come for hiring the graduates. The students are given placement training in the odd sem of the final year. It indeed is very helpful for both placement interviews and for appearing in any competitive exams in terms of preparing us to be better in aptitude.

One of my friends studied at Karunya University. According to him, it is very reputed in the country. The campus environment is peaceful and comfortable.

The infrastructure of its campus is very beautiful and various kinds of facilities are available for the students.
The laboratories available at this college are good and equipped with modern machinery.
There are hostels available for the students. All basic facilities such as laundry service are being provided to the students.
These facilities are a big relief to those students who don't have enough free time to wash their clothes.
The rules and regulations of this institution are very strict, especially for girls.
The campus is far away from the main city of Coimbatore, sometimes it becomes difficult to travel from the city to campus.
You will have to take permission from the administration for almost everything by writing them a letter or an application.

Hence, the rules and regulations of this university are very strict and you will have to abide by all the rules if you wish to study at this university.

A few of my friends have studied here and their experiences have been moderate. Karunya University has improved over the years but you cannot expect too much from here.

Following are some of the pros and cons of the university:

Pros –

Good infrastructure with well-equipped facilities including hostels
Climate is good throughout the year.
Ragging is comparatively low.
If you are a person who accumulates arrears this is the place for you. University will help you out, a supplementary examination is held in the middle of a semester just to help students clear their arrears.
WiFi connection is available.
You can choose faculties as per your wish

Cons –

There is a morning assembly every day. This includes starting prayer, ending prayer and in between someone will pray for you from the stage. You should maintain 80% of attendance for Assembly.
Management is not efficiently managed
The grading system is not fair. There will be four to five faculties for the same subject.

If you are opting for Karunya University, then go only for CSE as only it is good. Other departments like ECE and EE do not have proper faculty members or infrastructure. Do not waste your time in such departments.
