The college is affiliated to the Anna University, the admission process for a UG program is on the basis of an entrance test conducted by TNAU. I applied online on the official website.
The admission process is very smooth. I applied online and got invited for the counselling process conducted by the TNAU. I wanted to join this course and this institute in particular because of the evergreen popularity of the agriculture industry.
Along with academics our college motivates students towards extracurricular activities like Yoga, NSS, etc. Republic Day celebration and other national celebrations are celebrated in the college campus.
We had many field visits for various reasons. Sometimes it was farmers training program, sometimes it was a nursery sowing. We also had yoga classes. Some of my batchmates also volunteered for NSS scoutings.
Admission is on the basis of IIFPT Post Graduate Entrance Examination. A merit list is prepared on the basis of the entrance exam scores and overall academic performance of the student. I always wanted to join the institute for a bachelor’s, but opting for the Food Tech trade was a last minute decision.
Admission to the Masters program is on the basis of merit list, prepared on the basis of the academic performance of the students in the graduation. Annual intake for the masters program is 36, which means there is a stiff competition for these seats.
There are good and bad sides for everything in this world. But in our college many positives are there. This is overall a good college with many expertise.
