First I applied vit entrance examination and then I got a 9500 rank in that examination and went to counseling And chose the electronics branch which I like most compared to all branches. And joined the college in the stream of ECE.
I wrote the entrance exam for vit called VITEEE in 2013. I got a rank of 2006 in the entrance exam got a rank of 2006 and then I attended counseling. I am eligible for getting admitted into any branch as I got a nice rank. As I found out on reviews and web about information regarding the branches, I selected the mechanical engineering branch in the counseling and I got admitted into college.

I gave the VITEEE exam under which if u get a rank under 20K you are called up in the first round of counseling where different fields are offered. but CSE finishes of till 6k and IT finishes of by 11k
To get admission to the Vellore Institute of technology, students have to appear for an entrance exam called VITEEE. After securing a rank in the exam. Students are called to the campus of the college for the allotment of their branch. Based on your rank you get your desired branch.
The positives are very good like the campus academics extracurriculars and the alumni network.
The labs are very well functional and the faculties are very thoughtful of students.
The mess food is decent enough and the rooms are very well maintained.
I wrote the entrance exam, and I qualified got the rank, and was called for counseling later I went to the counseling and got a seat for my course and therefore I paid the fees and joined the college
Apart from few things, College is great when it comes to any aspect be it curricular or extra curricular. Some faculties practice partiality towards students from thier state, but this is common in India, so I would not make it peculiar to this university.
One positive remark is that the college campus is very secure and drug/alcohol/smoke-free because of the strong strictness the management of vit provides which help people to not indulge in such kind of bad habits
No negative remarks. A positive remark that it has more than 20000 students on its campus which employs a great deal of competition and thus creates a zeal to grow and grow more to achieve more. This healthy competition is very good for students to achieve more in life and thereby reach the summit of their expectations.
