AMU Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From third sem comanies start approaching for placements. As we have a job crunch because of corona so less companies are there as compared to previous year but normally all of the students get placed with handsome packages. The average package is 4-5 lakhs in covid time. i will be going for research.

From 3 sem students become eligible for campus placement. The company comes and takes meritorious students who qualify for their hiring criteria. The various company visited wome are Zomato, Swiggy, Whitehat Jr, Vedantu, Byjus, Unacademy and they all offered various offers to the students.

The training and placement office of the University conducts various placement drives and invites different companies. However, the placement record is not satisfactory at all. A large company is reluctant to come to campus.

BA(Hons) being a non-professional course student hardly gets an internship and job opportunities in the core field. But some of the companies visit campus just to recruit bachelor, Here students find some employment opportunities.

Students become eligible for placement from the third year onwards. Companies : Siemens, TCS, Tejas, Truminds, Adobe, L&T, Voltas. No of offers made are variable each year having ratio of female and male. At times they only recruit female students. Highest package made: 9lpa Lowest package made: 1lpa Average package made : 3-4 lpa Percentage of students placed was 10% My plans are to do masters from my college.

University provides a number of placement offers, for example, a number of companies do come to the university annually providing employment to the students. But placement offered at the university level for a bachelor's degree or masters degree is 30-40%

To be specific the main reason ive choosen Aligarh Muslim University is due to my older brother he did his MTECH from AMU and Currently working at a well reputed company and the other reason is due to i belong a lower middle class family so i needed to do a course which i can afford through my knowledge ive cleared the entrance. I've not used any website to choose othis college because i was already being part of the University as ive did my Bsc from AMU. The very good thing is i liked at AMU is the culture and Tahzeeb and peple here are very supportive and helping and faculties members are very helping. The bad thing i can say is the pattern of study which is old and also less number of Industrial visit.That's all i can explain about my experience and why i choose AMU.

Now, if you are taking this program then you got some opportunities for campus placements and really you are lucky if you take computer science stream. You will be eligible for the campus placement in your seventh semester. Some reputed companies like wipro, L&T, Accenture, jio etc visit and provide a good package to the students. Range of provided CTC is 3-8 lacs p.a depending upon different circumstances and different companies. However, not every student gets the job placement because it is a government college, so it doesn't give you assurance for the job but if you are hardworking and skilled and then you definitely can get it on your own and you can also apply for the off-campus jobs related to IT and technology as a second plan. The percentage of students getting the job is usually less as compared to private colleges like 30% of the total students. Most of the students actually opt for higher studies and I have also the same plan after getting my degree i.e for a MS degree.

The campus placement committee is responsible for the placement. Campus placement is quite good if you have a great set of skills. nearly 30-40 companies participate in campus placement program and the highest package of 2020 is 8.5 lakh and the average package is 4.5 lakh.
