AMU Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I gave an entrance test to take admission to AMU. It was totally based upon bsc syllabus

Generally, final year students are eligible for the campus placement it could be second-year third year according to the subject. There are different companies who visited the campus like TCS. The students of Aligarh Muslim University are easily selected for the placement because of their skills and knowledge. Approx 82-90 % of students are selected for the campus placement every year. I am pursuing an MSc in microbiology and after that, I will do PhD from this university itself, because this University is the best for higher studies.

Placement is almost average. Thus the students became eligible for the placement in their sixth semester. However, most of the students choose higher studies. The company which came is very selective. The highest package can be 3.5LPA and the average package go for the 2LPA. The students can go for higher packages off-campus. The students here choose higher studies and go for masters, and then chooses the teaching field as a professor. The percentage of students getting placement offers can be approximated to 30%. As I told most of them to choose higher studies, the same is my plan. I also want to go for the MSc here itself. My mind is not properly set up for the plans after getting a degree, because on one side, I am preparing for the MCA and on the other side want to take the MSc program from the reputed IITs. Therefore, right now I can't say much more about it but it is for sure that I am going for further studies because I want master's to be done. Also, here the placement is not very high and good.

Placement scenario is good in the college a student preparing for the company gets placed Many mnc's come here to recruit the students like Wipro,ceat,L&t, etc. Avg. Package of the student ranges from 4 to 5 lac per annum On an average 50 to 60 % student get placed

From the 3rd semester, students are eligible for placements. There is so many companies like TCS (GE Capital), ONGC (Chopras), ICICI (Indiainfoline), and CSC (India mart). All these companies come in AMU. Most students received desired packages. I think more than 180 students got job offers from different companies. 90-95% can get placed. Skype, Opera companies visit the AMU campus for placements. My plan is to pursue P.hd only from AMU ib my course, after M.Sc.

In the current year, almost 90 percent of students from the department of computer application got placement opportunities. Top companies like TCS, WIPRO, skype and other multinational companies are the regular recruiters here. The average salary offered in department of computer application is 4.2 lakh per annum and the overall placement of Aligarh Muslim University is good.

As far as placement is considered I have not yet experienced it but I know after 6th semester you can go for placement. And make your background strong so that at the time of placement you don't have to take risks.

Because I did'nt get computer science engineering through jee-mains in any good college. And this is my home town so my father forced me to join it and I had a under 100 AIR for this college's entrance exam so I could easily get computer science here.so I joined it and during the orientation programme I came know that A.M.U was offered to get accreditation to become iit just like B.H.U in 2009 but they refused the offer whatsoever the reason may be this is what they said in orientation so it lifted up some spirit after failing to get into top engineering college

I love its classes I love its teachers I love its facility members i love its canteen i love its stadium i love the atmosphere there i love the students who study their i love everybody their and everything that exists their

Percentage of getting placements are very low. But you can apply for government job. There are lots of selection in CS and ELECTRONIC branch , many companies visited but for mechanical ,civil engineering a few companies visited but many of the student of our college selected in outside placement and government jobs . My plan after completing my degree for go to IES or PSUs
