AMU Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Since amu is located away from cities, their fore it's placements are less as compared to other universities. Generally, a student from their last semester is started getting placement. But maximum people try for master or PhD so not that many people take the placement. Many companies visit amu for placement. A maximum of them come from Dubai or Kuwait. They try to take as much as a student but students don't go because of less package. The name of some companies is Wipro, byjus, Chegg etc. The maximum package which I heard went for 10per annum. As I told earlier maximum student try for a master so only 30 to 40 percentage take the placement. I plan to complete my graduation from this university. Then master from IIT and then PhD from outside the university.

If you are interested in knowing individuals' packages then it depends upon your strength and depth of your knowledge. Many people are getting selected at the lower package (like TCS) but some are getting higher package (Data Atom, Adobe, etc), It all depends on the companies that are recruiting and it varies every year. Some companies come every year while some often and many new companies also recruit(that never came before). So it will be very difficult to say something about it, but overall we can say that it is almost 4.2 lac. And if you don't want placements so you can also prepare for government exams.

From 2nd year students become eligible for placement. The placement cell keeps on inviting various industries for recruitment. Students have to go through 5-6 weeks of training before going for placements. Visiting companies include Siemens, L&T, Max Bupa, SBI life insurance, etc. Around. 40 % of students get placed. Highest package - 7.2 lakhs Lowest package - 3.5 lakhs

Placement is good but not enough. Various companies come for placements but not everyone is placed. At an average of 40 %, students are placed sometimes high as 60%. Recruiting companies are Max Bupa, SBI Life Insurance, XL Dynamics, ICICI Bank, Genpact, etc.

Bachelor in statistics is one of the best courses offered by Aligarh Muslim University. Faculty to student ratio is 1:20. Faculties are highly qualified and supportive. Some teachers are very ignorant. Exams were conducted timely and were easy to score if you have thorough knowledge.

Ever since I was in high school I had focussed on the aspect of justice and lack of justice. Though I come from a purely science background, the justice part is often missing which attracted me towards law and legal aid, that's why I am pursuing B.A. LL.B. All the faculty members are very knowledgeable and top-notch in their particular aspects of the legal field. We have some guest faculties who are practising Advocates, who give the students practical insights into the legal profession. In my personal opinion, there is a need for the increment to the number of faculty members especially after the increased number of seats in the courses faculty of law offers. All professors are PhD and the associate and assistant professors are pursuing their PhD. Everything is fine and nice until we talk about the conduction of exams. Well firstly being a part of a university kinda affects the regulation of exams and also, how the faculty of Law structure of exams and evaluation is different from other faculties.

In the final year, students become eligible for placements. Not much companies visit, few of them are Pepper Content, Tech Mahindra, Byju's , Chegg India, Pie Infocomm, Wipro Technologies, etc. The highest package is up to 6-6.50 lakhs and the average is 3 lakhs. Very few students get placed.

No specific semester eligibility for campus placements. It depends upon the requirements of the company. Very few placement opportunities, should not rely on them. The quality of opportunities are average. The below estimate does not represent the exact value and is only my opinion. For the previous year, a highest package from the department was around Rs6 lakh per annum. The average package would be around 3.5lakh. Most of the students go for masters. So till 2018, Wipro used to come and take some (2 or 3) students with sponsorship for Masters. I will be going for master's studies.

The Life Science Department of Aligarh Muslim University is ranked number 1 in India. I choose this course to explore further life science things that were exciting to me. 1:20 was the faculty-student ratio and qualification of faculty was PHD pursuing or Professor ones only and the latest technology was used for teaching like projector, a monitor set up in labs and all. Exams were little suffered due to few issues of NRC and covid but they were mainly on time and moderate level difficult.

Since I had plans for graduation, I did not opt for placement. However, few of my batchmates got placed in good companies through placement drives. All they had to was to give a written test and an interview to get selected. Most of them who applied got selected at an average of 1-2lac/annum.
