IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

My college placement is really good. Most of us will get their placement in college. If someone think he deserves better than college placement. Then, he apply for off-campus placement. Approx 80-90% are getting their job in college.

The final year students are eligible for placements. For B.Tech students, it is 7th semester and for Dual Degree students it is 9th semester. There are a lot of companies like Google, Microsoft, Uber, Sprinklr etc. visited the college and around 1000-1300 offers are made per year. Around 70%-80% students get placed. Highest package varies from 1 cr to 2 cr and average pakages around 20 lakhs. My plan is to do PhD after getting the degree.

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placement.Many top companies like Amazon Google Microsoft.facebook visit our college.Highest package is 2Cr+. Average package is highest for CSE .70 percentage students placed.

In my course from the 9th semester, student are eligible for campus placements. The companies that are coming in iit kharagpur are Google,microsoft etcin recent year there are total of 1430 offers came in iit kharagpur.the highest package for the year 2023-24 is 1 crore 64 lakhs to the student of the Department of Computer Science and engineering. about 80 to 90 percent of the student get placed every year in iit kharagpur if there is no recession. My plans after getting my degree is to take either placement or preparation for upsc.

You are eligible for placement in your final year. Around 500 companies visit each year including Microsoft ,Google, Adobe, Meta, Apple, Goldman Sachs JPMC etc . The highest placement was 2cr INR which was given by Optiver. Placement percentage is well above 90% for B.Tech students.

The course curriculum has a slight problem, it is not properly ordered. An example of this is Mathematical statistics being in our final semester core paper. However, there are electives in the third semester that require math-statistics as a prerequisite. There are a few subjects like these that need to be taught earlier and a few that need to be taught later.

Students are eligible to sit in campus placement in their final year. Companies like nestle , britania , etc. Highest package was 33 lakh , average package was 17.96 and 68.75 % students got placed in 2023.

After 6th semester,one become eligible for placements. Some prominent companies are Microsoft,Google and amazon. The highest package offered is 4 cr and lowest is 6-8 lakh. Placement percentage is nearly 100%. I will try to level up myself and go for higher studies.

The general placements of IITs is comparitively way better than other government and private colleges. Many companies come to recruit students. Even top companies such as Goldman Sachs, Apple come to IIT campuses. The placement takes place in two phases. The first phase starts around November - December and ends around early February. The second phase takes place during the summers. The average package of my branch i.e. Mechanical Engineering was 18 lakhs whereas the median package was 21 lakhs.

from 7th semester (for btech students), 9th semester (for dual degree students) students are eligible for campus placements. there are numerous companies which visit the campus...and generally nearly all students get placed during the placement season, but recently there has been recession and companies are not taking less number of the students than they usually do.
