- All the big brands and big tech giants come to the campus for great opportunity opportunity for students you can apply for placements from the fifth semester itself.
- College provides a lot of scholarships like merit cum means scholarship, inspire scholarship, and fee waiver scheme.
- The faculty members are really good as they are great researchers in their respective fields.
Dislikes
- But, if we talk about scholarship then it's a bad news that there is no institute scholarship for unreserved students but u can get it for other organisations like nsp.
- The hostel rooms are also not good enough and lack cleanliness sometimes and have broken chairs/ tables, etc. at times.
- The academic workload can be sometimes demanding, not always but sometimes, leading to stress and pressure among students.

- Gender Imbalance, IIT Kharagpur has a skewed gender ratio, with a significantly higher number of male students compared to female students. Kharagpur the town where IIT is located is relatively remote compared to other major cities in India.
Placement Experience:
From completeing 6th semester for Btech students and 8th semester for Dual degree students they are eligible for placements.
More than 70 companies visited for placements giving around 1500 offers totally.

Specific aspects of the curriculum that influence my decision to choose this course is l am interested in research field. In my perspective on this is moderate level and l am take physics accordance to my passion.

- I like digital library facility and wide source of avaibility study material
- I like facilities of societies, sports ,lab and other facilities for holistic development.
Placement Experience:
Fifth semesterstudents become eligible for campus placements .Coal India, Bharat Aluminium Company Limited ,Microsoft etc.companies are visited and highest package 2.5 crore and twenty six lakh average package.Around 80% of students getting placements

- Availability of society's and clubs for pursuing hobbies and other skills
- Labs and research support for further studies.
Placement Experience:
From 7 th semester of ug students become eligible for placement. Companies like Unacademy, intel, hp, google etc visited this year. Highest package goes up to 1.2 crore and average is around 25 lakh . Every year around 70-75%students got placed on campus.

- Gathering of the people like hall days, Diwali,etc. which helps us to socialize
- Campus have court for every sport, so we learn anything from here.
- Societies helps us in self improvement and socializing too.
Placement Experience:
Around 80-90% of students get placements through campus placement. Others who are left will apply for placement on their own, they apply through LinkedIn and online messaging to the companies, which requires a lot of hard work. Students in their final year are eligible for placements.

- The curriculum is designed to make it very student friendly and make inter disciplinary courses very much easy to access.
Placement Experience:
The students in semester 7 for 4-year course and for 5-year dual degree 9th semester are eligible for campus placements. There were 1600 offers made in the first phase of campus placements with 90% students being placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The curicullum is designed to be in favour of students. The course allows flexibility to acess interdisciplinary courses. The course alse has acess to core placements which have a lower competition as compared to other core fields.

- I like campus. Very green and full of trees plants.
- And offcourse the fest in my college are amazing.
- And facilities of sports. It's very amazing.
Dislikes
- I think there should be a big city near college.
- It's very far from my home. I have to travel 2000km.
- Girls and boys ratio. It's not good. But alright.
Placement Experience:
Campus placement are pretty good. But according to my course I'm not interested to get job regarding my course. If I didn't get placement from campus placement I will go through the offcampus placement.

Placement Experience:
The students in semester 7 for 4 year course and for 5 year dual degree 9th semester are eligible for campus placements. There were 1600 offers made in the first phase of campus placements with 90% students being placed. The highest package offer made was 2.4 Crores on campus, where as for off campus it was 4Crores. The average package is around 30-35Lakh where as the median varies department wise with the average being 19-20LPA. Some of the companies that visited , Google, Microsoft, Mc Kinsey, Goldman Sachs, Master Card etc.

- I liked the culture here at IIT KHARAGPUR
- Mentorship is very good here with mentors from society, hall and depts.
- Sports, Socult and tech culture is very good
Dislikes
- Professors may be inconsiderate at times
- Weather is not very good especially in summers
- IIT Kharagpur is not near any major metro city with Kolkata being 140 kms away
Placement Experience:
Placements are held in 7th semester for Btech students and 9th semester for Dual Degree students.
Almost all well reputed companies in software, product and core dept like electrical visit IIT Kharagpur.
Highest package go as high as 3 CR while median remains at 20 LPA
